🌶 - Back in 2015 a @nytimes journalist came to Lune Elwood and sat on the stairs next to me while I baked. We let him choose 2 pastries to taste - because there was a long line of loyal customers and we wanted to make sure they all went home with pastry in hand. He chose a traditional croissant, and this guy. The MP3. Inspired by long time friend of Lune @mattperger, this croissant was stuffed with carnitas, manchego, queso fresco and a chilli tomato jam. Garnished with a pickled guindilla pepper, this was one helluva groundbreaking croissant. . The journalist, @oliver_strand, went on to write a little article for NYT, proposing that Lune’s classic croissant “may be the finest you will find anywhere in the world”. .
