Here are some things I am doing for me today: - Finishing up work by 7pm no matter what. - Practicing yoga in the evening, not the morning. I am a morning person but sunrise yoga does not suit me - I'm going to stop forcing it. - Taking breaks when I get anxious or overwhelmed. - Investing time in skincare. . One of the reasons why I restarted this account is because I want to learn to prioritize me. And hopefully, along the journey, I can inspire you to do the same 💜

Don't say to yourself what you wouldn't say to a friend 💜 . A few days back, I got a new phone. This weekend, on a trip with my boyfriend, I wanted to test the camera on it out and asked him to snap a photo of me. I hated so many things about how the picture - this picture - turned out. . But then I remembered a quote I've been hearing - don't say anything to yourself that you wouldn't say to a friend. If this was a picture of somebody else, I'd probably say that I like their outfit and that their hair is really pretty. I wouldn't tell them that their nails are chipped and their skin needs some taking care of. So today, I've decided to treat myself as a friend 💜

It's been two years. It's been way too long. But today, I got the sudden urge to give reviving my Instagram a try 💚 . I wish I could tell you some magical story that made me want to came back but the truth is, I was cleaning the shower with my mind wondering when the idea came to me. . A lot has happened in my life and I'm sure a lot has happened in yours - please catch me up, I'd love to hear 💜 . I've graduated from uni and now have a first class degree in Marketing with Psychology. Some of you have helped me by participating in the study I was conducting for my dissertation - I did incredibly well which wouldn't have been possible without your help. But I've decided to keep studying and pursue a postgraduate degree in media and communications because I want to fuel my passion for creating content. I've been writing a lot and made it my part time job through Fiver. . I've been doing much less yoga and I've gotten out of touch with myself. I rush through life and forget to take in the sights. I want to fall back in love with me and document the journey on this account. I also want to share my thoughts, coming back to consistent yoga practice and my sustainability journey. I'd love to have you here for the ride 💜

Why shop for new clothes when you can thrift? 🤷🏻‍♀️ ◽️◽️◽️ There’s a plenty of reasons to quit fast fashion: both ethical (worker rights & wages, unsafe worker conditions, child labor...) and environmental (clothes dye and pesticide pollution, microplastics being released from synthetic fabrics, waste...). Taking these into account, as well as the availability of second hand clothing, there is really no excuse to keep supporting this destructive industry! 🙅🏻‍♀️ ◽️◽️◽️ I buy all my clothes in charity shops, small thrift stores such as @crashily and apps like @depop. But I do often get told “But I can’t thrift for all my clothes, there just aren’t any good thrift stores near me.” To that, I always say: 1. Make sure you know about them all. Before I started thrifting regurarly, I thought there were no good thrift stores near me as well. But when I researched the different options in my area, I found so many more than I expected to. 😍 2. Go with an experienced thrifter and learn their ways! 👯‍♀️ 3.
