Proceeds from the #littlepiecesofhope shop will be donated to @thelovelandfoundation to provide free therapy and mental health resources to Black Women and Girls. As some of you may know, I have struggled (and still do) with mental health issues - yeah, anxiety I’m looking at you. Two of the hardest things about mental health... the shame/stigma that surrounds it and the COST of getting help. If it weren’t for my mama, I wouldn’t have been able to afford therapy and medication on my own at the beginning of my mental health journey. I am aware of the privilege and opportunities I have had along my journey with anxiety. It’s time to provide affordable resources and normalize mental health for EVERYONE, especially the Black Community. Thank you @thelovelandfoundation for doing what you do.
Felt very inspired by this message from @drkeyhallmon this morning ✨ #allhandsondeck
I started Little Pieces of Hope as a way to better the world and help others in need. To promote kindness, compassion and love. I know I may just be one person, but my silence during these times of injustice is deadly. I will continue to do my part to learn, to listen and use my voice to speak out for injustice and inequality. I understand that I will never truly understand. However, I stand. I encourage you to do the same.
Over the last two weeks or so, I have been working with @brandandbloomdesigns to help me rebrand #littlepiecesofhope and FINALLY build a website other than on Etsy. She sent me this mood board last week, and immediately I took a screenshot and applied it as my phone background due to EXTREME excitement. Although I absolutely love branding and creating graphics, I realized I desperately needed help to create a cohesive look to allow not only the products to match each other, but also a website. Anyways, long story short, Alyssa from @brandandbloomdesigns is a genius and I recommend everyone work with her ASAP. Can’t wait to keep showing y’all what she comes up with!
Only made TWO of these cuties, and they are now listed on Etsy! Can’t remember the last time I added jewelry to the #littlepiecesofhope shop. Feels goooood ✨ Happy Friday!
I am beyond honored to have #littlepiecesofhope available at the @anvilandaura shop here in Austin! I walked in yesterday to drop off the order and was BLOWN AWAY by how beautiful their storefront is. Seriously, so dreamy, so beautiful, and full of kind, and talented women. If you don’t already, give them a follow! They have some of the coolest, prettiest jewelry I have ever seen. And I promise I’m not just saying that to say it,I truly mean it. It’s amazing!
Just added a new instant download print to the #littlepiecesofhope shop. I thought this print was appropriate for these times as just like the the moon we are transforming into different lifestyles or phases of life. “The moon doesn’t consider one phase better than another; she just glows, equally stunning at each turn. Why should we be any different?” - Cristen Rodgers 🌙
Finally made time to sit and create this morning. I forgot how soothing it is to make jewelry for fun rather than for demand. Feeling grateful that no matter where I am in my life, little pieces of hope is always here to greet me. What are you grateful for today?
May I present the Lavender + Orange Linen Spray. Great to mist on your sheets before bedtime, or even on your clothes that need a little freshening up in the underarm area if you know what I’m saying. I learned the basic recipe for this Linen Spray from my travel muse, @ameliekelly, while traveling to Mongolia, as I only packed around 4 shirts for 2 weeks of traveling 😬 Thanks to her, I never go on any trip without a linen spray of some sort as it freshens up clothes and even doubles as a room spray for those not so glamorous smells ☠️ If you swipe over, I added a picture of me riding a horse in Mongolia. I have only ridden a horse about 2 times in my life, this being my third. When I asked for a refresher lesson, they explained everything to me in Mongolian 😂 needless to say, they gave me a Schwinn bike helmet and told me to hold on. Long story short, I cried the whole time. Looking back, I’m not even that far from the ground 😂 but I was terrified. Thankfully we met some nice Australians that helped distract me, and cheer me up with conversations as we rode from one town to the next. That trip, and this day in particular, was something I will never forget! #LPOHtakesMongolia #lifeisger #livingthegerlife
Nine Types of Rest by @thelexiewilson 1. Time away 2. Permission to not be helpful (I needed to hear this one) 3. Something “unproductive” 4. Connection to art & nature 5. Solitude to recharge 6. A break from responsibility (yaaas!) 7. Stillness to decompress 8. Safe space 9. Alone time at home (this one might be hard given the circumstances) - Which type of rest do you need right now? Mine would definitely be 2&6 ✨
Sleep deprived and feeling all the feels today. Thought maybe some of you could use this reminder, too #littlepiecesofhope ✨
