Chocolate banana ice cream !! 🍫+🍌🍦#NationalDessertDay 😋 🌱 There is a tutorial video for this saved under the @strongandsxy IGTV! You can make ice cream with me and Emily anytime! We have a whole series called "Cooking with Emily" so make sure to check those videos out. 🎥 ✨Recipe ~ 25g (1/4 cup) of cacao or cocoa powder 60ml (1/4 cup) of milk of choice (this may vary depending on your blender or processer) 4 frozen bananas (Once the bananas are ripe, but not overripe, peel, chop and freeze them) 2 tbsp of nut butter (remove for nut free alternative) Optional toppings of your choice: ie. chocolate chunks, chocolate chips, chopped nuts, fruit ✨Equipment: Ideally a food processor. If not then a high powered blender. ✨Method: If you are using a food processor then you can add everything straight into it. If you are using a blender then you may want to add the milk first before the other ingredients and then add additional milk as you go along if the mixture begins to get stuck. Blend everything until you get the texture of ice cream. Use a spatula to scrape the mixture off of the sides. Serve in a bowl immediately or freeze for the mixture to harden. Top with toppings of your choice. 🌱How to stay fuller for longer… 🍗 Eating high protein at each meal increases the amount of time required to sufficiently break down the food in the stomach which makes you feel full for longer. 🥦 Eating veggies with each meal means you will be consuming fibre which can enhance feelings of fullness. Try to add high-fibre foods into your diet such as wholegrains, cereals, beans and pulses and fruit and vegetables. 🦥 Eat at a slower pace.. Chew your food properly, take pauses to check in with your taste buds and how you are enjoying the meal. Become familiar with your hunger queues and the feeling of being comfortably full and satisfied. Minimise distractions such as T.V. and Instagram to help you become in tune with your eating. 🥑 Including some healthy fats in your diet will help to keep you feeling full and satisfied as well as playing a role in lots of other functions in the body such as vitamin absorption. 🥯 If you are feeling hungry, it’s totally ok to snack!
