*Slow Food Barbados* is challenging YOU to go 7 days in *October, 11th - 17th 2020* eating only foods grown, caught, or raised in Barbados! The *#SlowSeven Local Food Challenge* aims to promote sustainable communities, healthy bodies and support local farmers and fisherfolk increasing our emphasis on locally sourced food and the benefits to our local economy, environment, and community. It’s not an all-or-nothing challenge; we’ve structured it to encourage everyone; from beginners to the very committed and experienced! The point is to experiment and increase awareness about the availability of locally produced foods and where to find them. Use our Slow Food Barbados Buyers Guide and Sustainable Seafood Guide to help you with your sourcing, and *win some great prizes* while you’re at it! We will be judging per item/dish/recipe shared with the hashtag *#SlowSeven* so have fun with it and include as many details about sourcing, ingredients and recipes as you can! We also have a list of participating restaurants, bars, and hotels who will be featuring #SlowSeven specials during the challenge, so you’re not restricted to cooking at home and creating your own meals throughout the week. *Step1:* Sign up using our online form available on our website *www.slowfoodbarbados.org* <- click there! *Step2:* Share your delicious photos and videos and #SlowSeven experience on *Facebook and Instagram between September 11th – 17th, 2020.* *Step3:* Save the date and stay tuned for more info on our *Featured Event @worthingsquare Food Court on October 18th!*
