It’s National Keto Day! It’s no secret I’ve been on again off again for awhile (like July) between vacations, getting sick, surgery, school & the holidays. Blah, blah, blah. • • • I’ve been getting my mind right & just about ready to jump back in the fight. Well this handsome man was FaceTiming me tonight, as he was grilling a ribeye & he said, “babe I’ve been thinking, I wanna do keto with you whenever you’re ready to start back again.” Insert shocked face here. 😳 (thank god I’m a trained keto professional) 😉 • • • I would never push this way of eating on anybody but if someone has questions or wants some advice on getting started am all for it!! My soul is tired. I’m 5 weeks post op from the biggest surgery I’ve ever had & I’m tired. I can’t explain it but I’m anxious often, my body doesn’t feel like mine anymore. I haven’t come to terms with the numbness I’m feeling (that more then likely won’t go away), the way my stomach feels. In my mind I’m back to that 375lb girl, even though I’ve only gained a couple of lbs since surgery. The bingie thoughts happen more often, I’m guessing it’s because I don’t feel like I’m in “control” of my body. But I’m trying everyday. I work hard at getting dishes done, laundry done, homework, spending time with the daughter etc but I’m super uncomfortable with myself right now. I go back on Friday for more testing because after the path report I didn’t get a clean bill of health & I’m hella nervous. (Which doesn’t help things) Just wanted time share the real. It’s not always roses & sunshine like others would have you believe but it’s also not the end of the story. If you’ve read this far, I love you.
