We train—likely for different reasons than most. Goals, uhhh sure I think we all have them but nobody really discusses them because they are their own. We test ourselves, arguably daily either with what we do or what we don’t do—but there’s always a test. We’re always watching one another, not for a score, a load or a time, but for the effort, the approach and the thoughtfulness of it. So yeah I think it’s different, I think it’s appropriate and I know many people don’t like it. Getting people to think and then do is much more challenging than just instructing them to do it and telling them how. We guide, we don’t dictate. I see a lot of folks following our rep schemes, using our workouts and trying to find ways they fit into their training or their athletes training. The truth is the workout is the least important part and anything that’s been put together here has been for a reason that only made sense on the day of training. Not days or weeks prior, but in the moment after chatting with clients, assessing body language, movement etc... —————————————————— Other times it’s a genuine curiosity on what the body is capable of, how can we make workouts harder and what’s the most creative way we can write a workout that looks simple yet leaves everyone scratching their head after peeling themselves from the floor. While we understand the concepts and principles of training as laid out in books with too many words—we also want to push those boundaries as most who wrote those books never really did anything hard aside from study and research in a controlled environment. Well fuck that, chaos rules and chaos is life—The Space Program will launch tonight at midnight (oct 9th MST) and ONLY be available for 24hrs with a limited capacity. I D K ————————————————— In a world filled with the notion you should reach your training goals ASAP... I’m over here thinking the sooner you get it, the sooner you forget it. My ideas don’t always appeal to the masses, everyone wants to win the thing right now. The next CF Games Champ, the next WR holder in powerlifting or weightlifting but nobody wants to put in the time. The years upon years of building a solid foundation not just of physical structural integrity but also the psychology to accompany the physicality—so that the mind and body are not constantly fighting one another but are working together. ————————————————— The truth is, no matter what you do, most people will never remember who you were or what you did. So maybe stop doing shit for the validation you receive for others because nobody cares. Fans, sponsors, “coaches”, etc... will all come and go, at the end of the day you only have your body of work to stand upon—why not make it the best it can be? Life isn’t a sprint even though it surely feels that way from time to time. Be patient, be diligent, and work hard... don’t rush.

W E E K T W O ——————————————————— FYF / DFF call it what you will—for me it’s an education—paid for in effort. It’s not this for everyone and it shouldn’t be. The piece you can read was the warmup, there’s no need to post the entire workout because you were not here, therefore it does not matter. You didn’t hear the directions, you couldn’t feel the energy and the owner of the session is not there to guide you, so how could you do it? Correctly anyways. Most would increase weight, chase times, move poorly and not learn, which is not what we do here. This is not elitist, it’s truth—a workout without guidance is just exercise and that has its place for some, that place is just not here.
