Sometimes you meet people who you instantly connect with. Your chemistries click and a mutual respect is built almost immediately. @nattclark and her sweet mother, Mary, are two who upon speaking to over the phone I knew these were very special people. They trusted me and my work whole heartedly and I am so honored. A creative process of an artist is complex and emotional. Creating for clients who believe in your vision is the heartbeat of my career and I’m forever thankful ❤️
What would your letter to 2020 look like? Mine would be rather lengthy, and maybe no one would ever read it but that’s okay at least those thoughts would be off my chest. I have to say this year has tested me in many ways, some good and some bad. I’ve had a lot of loss this year, the biggest being this sweet boy next to me in this photo. I know so many of you follow me to see all the pretty things, but sometimes life just isn’t all that pretty. And that’s okay. While I do love the false reality this platform gives me when I need it, sometimes a slap of reality is a good thing. How to deal with loss and hard times in this day and age is weird, and frankly kind of awkward. I don’t feel comfortable continuing to post about how wonderful things are when really I am just trying to get through the day one hour at a time. Not to sound dramatic, but some days just suck, right? The silver lining of the year thus far has been the mind set of “if I can get through this, I can get through almost anything.” So that’s positive! Things could always be worse, literally always. I am thankful for my health, the health of my family, and the growth of this wonderful business that I really cherish. Some days don’t look so pretty but that’s okay and we are all on this crazy ride together, choose to stay positive. We got this ❤️
Heading back to this magical venue today to capture another stunning wedding day. Follow along in stories for some BTS and sneak peeks!
This year Frank and I celebrated 7 years of marriage! It truly blows my mind. When we celebrated our one year, I remember thinking to myself “i cannot wait till we celebrate our 5 year or 10 year.”. Well, it’s here and I have to say, time fly’s when you’re having fun! Being a wedding photographer I work with so many amazing couples and see how different each and every relationship is. For the longest time I fought with myself, and Frank, on what I imagined the perfect marriage looked like. The expectations I put on it was not the healthiest but I looked through social media and romantic comedies and thought I knew what is was suppose to look like. Oh lord, if I could only tell my younger self to throw those expectations out the window and just enjoy the person you have sitting next to you. Marriage is not perfect, but it sure is worth it. ❤️
What a weekend! My heart is so full going through the images of @nattclark & @ajensen7 intimate wedding in Charleston this past Friday. I have been photographing weddings for many years and 2020 has been a year that I can assure I will never forget. Through all of the downs I had clients like these two who lifted me up and allowed me to see the light out of this dark tunnel. Together, we worked through twists and turns in finding the perfect way for these two to say their vows. This day could not have turned out any better. With only a handful of family members in attendance, there was enough love in the room for hundreds more. I am honored and grateful to have been there to capture it! Cheers to 2020, you couldn’t stop us 🎉
California has been on my mind and in my heart recently, I think my travel itch is getting stronger everyday. Take me back to Tommy&Juliet’s magical evening at the @thelondonweho!

Vero 2021 We are on the move yet again! They can’t keep us down long and we are ready for another adventure with @workshopvero. This time we are trading in the French chateau for the Rocky Mountains of @devilsthumbranch. After a year of being indoors, we wanted to break free and feel the grass on feet and brisk mountain air in our souls. Joining us will be another incredibly talented team, @joyproctor, @lauragordon, @slater_events, and more. We couldn’t be more excited and we hope you join us while we create in the mountains while connecting over a crackling fire and maybe a mallow or two. Seats are limited and the worship setting will intimate. For more information and registration Head to Veroworkshop.com. See ya in the Rockies! “You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.” Dr.Seuss Ps. Frank says this to me every night 😂 He hasn’t slept in almost 7 years 🤪
Yesterday was a very special day. Steve and Karla said their I Do’s with all of their family and friends and this meant more than you know. Steve lost his wife three years ago and he and his family have been through hell and back. Watching these two families come together yesterday brought tears to my eyes as Steve’s 10 grandchildren walked Karla and Steve down the aisle. Yesterday was about family and living life to the absolute fullest, even in the darkest of times. It was an honor to be apart of this amazing event and I can’t wait to share more of it! #dowhatyoulove
