This type of salad is such a favourite in my family! I always serve a huge platter of fresh salad with our summer meals. Yiayia and Papou's tomatoes are usually the main ingredient because they grow SO many of them - and they are delicious. Now that it's starting to warm up in Adelaide, I am craving fresh salads so much. They're easy to make and there are lots of different salad recipes to try out if you are looking for something new. If you're heading into winter, salads can still be on the menu! I love using roasted veg to make a salad more hearty. Try roasting zucchini, capsicum or carrots and adding them to a fresh salad - it tastes SO good! My TOP TIP: Always add a delicious homemade dressing to your salads. My olive oil, salt, lemon juice, and oregano dressing is a favourite, but I also like adding pesto for something different sometimes. #BBGcommunity - tell me below some of your salad favourites, I'm definitely going to be making a salad ASAP! It's World BREAD DAY today! Throwback to my Yiayia's perfect loaf of bread. 😍 When I posted this photo, SO many of you asked me to share her recipe. I promise I asked her for it, but in classic Yiayia style she wouldn't give me the exact instructions for how to make it. 😂🇬🇷 My sister and I had a competition - her recipe - different houses .... and mine won haha (in my person opinion) Here it is 😁👌 ➕ 1.5 cups warm water ➕ 1/2 tsp dried yeast ➕ 3 cups plain flour ➕ BIG pinch of salt flakes ➕ Extra salt to sprinkle on top ✅ Mix warm water with yeast until it dissolves. Add into the bowl with flour and salt, and mix well. ✅ Lightly flour a bench and knead the bread until it forms a perfect ball. Place back into the bowl and cover with a tea towel. Leave to rise for 2-3 hours. ✅ Pre-heat oven to 220° Celsius. ✅ Remove from bowl, (sprinkle herbs over the top if you want), and then shape into a ball and place into an oven safe pot. Sprinkle salt flakes on top and cover with a lid. ✅ Cook in the oven for 30 minutes, remove lid and then cook for another 10 minutes. Eat your bread fresh and dipped in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt.
