#BBGprogress 👏👏 @health.journey.for.me progress using my #BBG Beginner program!! 💪 I am SO proud that you are using my program to take control of your health and fitness. She says: "In 2019 I hit a point where I really wanted to starting taking control of my health and start working out consistently. At that same time, Kayla released her BBG Beginner program. It felt like perfect timing and I didn't feel like there was any reason why I shouldn't try. I completed the 8 weeks and it was challenging but I feel so accomplished and so ready to continue moving forward with my journey. Right now I'm currently doing the 2020 Challenge which is amazing because it's great being part of a community. I really love that the BBG Beginner specifically eases you into working out and progressively gets more difficult but it's definitely something that I needed to start so I'm very thankful for the guide and ready to smash the rest of the 2020 Challenge!" You can customise this challenge to suit your fitness level by choosing between our two levels of difficulty, Starting Out and Challenge Me! There's still time to join me and the entire #BBGcommunity from around the world doing the #SWEATchallenge, so head to the link in my bio to register!! kaylaitsines.com/SWEATChallenge #BBGathome #SWEATathome #BBG #BBGprogress #fitnessjourney #fitnesstransformation
It has made me so happy to see the BBG community providing so much positivity and support to each other during this time. Supporting our friends and loved ones is so important. But don't forget, it’s also important to spend time and energy doing the same for ourselves too! Often we can be our own biggest critics, so during this #SWEATchallenge I want you to focus on positive thoughts. They have the ability to keep you feeling motivated, confident and mentally strong. They are so powerful. #BBGcommunity, let's be our own biggest supporters during this @SWEAT Challenge!!! 💪Comment below with something that you are proud of yourself for! 👇 kaylaitsines.com/SWEATChallenge #BBGathome #SWEATathome
@krystaldennise progress using my #BBG program. 💪 This amazing mum of TWO is here to get you motivated for the #SWEATchallenge!! Like Krystal says, committing to this program and staying active can make you feel stronger, not only physically, but mentally too. So, I would LOVE you to join us in this challenge. I also love what Krystal said about the #BBGcommunity because it is SO true. There are more than 100,000 women all over the world who are here to support you through this time, and it’s amazing to be doing this challenge all together. 💛 She says: “I first started BBG because i wanted a program that I could do at home that was easy to do. Not easy as in the workouts, but easy as in they are 28 minutes. Each week it gets a little bit harder and harder but you get stronger as the weeks go on. Not only physically, but mentally also. It just changed my life completely! I have so much more energy now and I’m so much more disciplined than I used to be before I started. I had two babies throughout the four years that I’ve been doing BBG and each time I did the program I was able to get back in shape. The community is so awesome, it’s so cool to know that women from all over the world are doing the same program that I am. Everyone’s supporting and rooting for you! If you are thinking about doing the program, totally go for it! It’s so worth it. If I can do it and I have two kids, and I have time to do it still, then you can totally do it.” The @SWEAT Challenge just started and there is still time to join! I wanted to give a shout out to the incredible #BBGcommunity. 💛 You are all amazing. We are truly stronger together. Right now, having open and honest conversations is so important. The SWEAT Forum might be a place that can help you do that - it's a space where you can talk and connect with other women around the world, in a really supportive and safe environment. You can get advice (on pretty much anything!). Or you can share recent experiences, learnings, or thoughts with other women. It really is a supportive place for all. Everyone can join, it's free, and all you need is an email address to start posting. https://forum.sweat.com/
This week, the SWEAT team and I made a promise that we would listen, learn and then take action to genuinely support the stand against racial injustice and inequality. We know that we have a lot to learn about the injustice that's faced by Black Americans, Indigenous Australians, and many other communities around the world - and how racism plays out at individual, community, institutional and systemic level, in the past and today. There are so many important resources out there that can help us to understand more, listen more and learn more. The SWEAT team and I will be reading and discussing these resources. We have also put them on the SWEAT Forum for anyone else who would like to join us in doing so. Our forum is a safe, supportive and open space where you can have conversations that matter. Click the link in my bio to discover some books and resources to help better understand how to take a stand against injustice and racism.
Listen. Learn. Act. Today, both myself and SWEAT have made a commitment to listen more, to learn more, and then to act in taking a stand against racism - in the USA, at home in Australia and globally. We know we have a lot more work to do, but I am proud of these initial steps and the following changes that we will make in this space - and we are committed to making a difference. Below is our full announcement from SWEAT: At SWEAT, we stand in solidarity against racism and injustice. We recognise we have a lot to learn about the systemic racism and injustice faced by Black Americans, as well as Indigenous Australians here in our home country, along with so many other communities around the world. We need to listen more, we need to learn more, we need to understand more and we then need to take action to genuinely support the stand against racism. As a first step, we have made a donation to NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund in the US, and here in Australia to ANTaR in order to help support the fight against racial injustice both abroad and at home. Our community is diverse and we need to do a better job of representing and celebrating diversity across all of our platforms. We will strengthen our business diversity policy by consulting with leading experts, and with our member community. This policy will include a commitment by SWEAT to increase our trainer diversity. As a business, we acknowledge these are only small first steps for change and we have much more work to do.
#blackouttuesday My platform is bigger than most so I will add that when posting a black tile, if you have anything you can say which will educate or help others understand this situation, please do. If you are posting a blacktile, please do not use the hashtag blacklivesmatter as that hashtag was used in the last week to educate the entire WORLD on what is going on. Within that hashtag is the ability to listen and learn - and that is what we should all do 🧡 Use blacklivesmatter to educate - use #blackouttuesday to show your support and stand stronger together.
At SWEAT, we believe we're stronger together. We believe in equality, and that everyone should be given the same chance in life. Everything we do and everything we stand for is tied to our purpose: to empower women through fitness. That means inclusion, and that means being there for ALL women, any time - anywhere. This is only possible because we're backed by such an incredible community of diverse women. Now, more than ever, we must not be silent. We must stand together to fight racism and injustice of all kinds. Black Lives Matter.
Arna LOVES avocado and homemade guacamole is one of our favourite snacks right now. It's so easy to make and I love that I can share it with her. To make it, all I do you need is: ✅ 1-2 avocados 🥑 ✅ A squeeze of lime juice ✅ 1/2 a red onion, finely chopped ✅ 1/2 a tomato, diced ✅ A handful of coriander (or cilantro), finely chopped ✅ Salt, pepper and chilli (I leave these out for Arna's serve) Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and mash it all together until you get the consistency you like. If you don't have any of these ingredients that's fine, you can pretty much add whatever you like! I eat mine with cut up vegetable sticks, and Arna eats hers with baby biscuits.
