There’s no way I could’ve gotten into this shape without the guidance of my wonderful coach @catherinejane_fit_ over the last few years. Having her telling me what to do has accelerated my results tenfold as she took out the guess work! If you’re feeling clueless, get yourself a good coach- fuck how much they cost, it’s an investment into your health and well-being and you can’t put a price on that. How much would you spend on dinner out or a haircut?! Do your research, ask their past and current clients about their experience with the coach and make sure they have the relevant qualifications! Don’t just go with someone you aspire to look like who will sell you a cookie cutter meal plan that will mess with your metabolism and hormones! Did you know that in order to do a meal plan for someone else you need to be a registered dietitian?! This is to show you that I too have had my own health and fitness journey! When I was training as a dancer I used to eat HORRENDOUSLY- mars bars for lunch and 5 bowls of cereal for dinner. I had awful binge eating episodes where no matter how full of sick I felt, I couldn’t stop eating! If I wasn’t dancing 5 hours a day at this time I truly think I would’ve been pretty overweight! After graduating, my mental health deteriorated further- I was working on a weekend and every other day was spent on the couch scrolling through IG, watching daytime TV and making trips to the shops to buy more junk food to binge on. When I started eating to nourish my body and joined a gym is where my life started improving. I can’t tell you exactly what it was that made me change, but it didn’t happen over night- every day I just focused on trying to improve on the last- I was so sick of feeling crap 24/7! Movement is life and I strongly believe that exercise and proper nutrition is the most underrated antidepressant! So if you are on your own health and fitness journey, don’t over complicate things or be drawn into what the latest diet craze is- take one day at a time, move your body and eat plenty of whole, micronutrient dense foods with a little bit of what you fancy every now and then! #investinyourself #transformationtuesday

Putting all the food to good use 🤪🐷 A quick workout supersetting upper and lower body movements to increase blood flow around my body woooo! I’ve also taken the dog up mount ainslie AND done some housework 😎 I have so much energy after a good feed- I’d forgotten what it felt like not to be constantly exhausted 😅 I’m going to have another relaxed day of eating before starting a reverse diet tomorrow 😊 I hope everyone is having a fab weekend!
Yesterday I competed at the Arnold Classic Australia and I am blown away 🤗 such an incredible, humbling experience! The standard of strong beautiful women that I got to step on stage with was the highest I’ve ever seen! I walked away with a 2nd place in novice class B and got first call outs in the open class B lineup- way past my expectations for my first season competing with @ifbbproleagueoz 🤗 Thank you so much to my beautiful coach @catherinejane_u for pushing me way out of my comfort zone & believing in me while keeping my prep as enjoyable as possible ❤️ I would never have done this without you!! My partner Andrew, the man is a saint for putting up with me, encouraging and supporting me, I can’t wait to eat pizza with you my big fat ❤️ My wizard lady @amberde.salon for doing a flawless job with my tan, hair and makeup, you are SO talented Amber!! My @ascendstrengthfitness family and clients- there is NO WAY I could have done this without you guys egging me on and believing in me and putting up with my prep brain 🤪 @sublimebikinis for creating the red masterpiece- you are so talented Sarah! A few of my favourites from Sunday @ifbbproleagueoz NSW Arnold Classic Qualifier 🤗 Thank you all so so so much for all of the kind messages and support- I honestly feel so loved and very special ❤️ I have decided to compete at the Arnold Classic Australia in 2.5weeks time 😱 I scared hahahaha
Yesterday I competed at the IFBB NSW Arnold Classic qualifier with the intention of ‘getting my feet wet’ with the IFBB- a federation that I couldn’t see myself competing in for a good few years because I thought that I would look out of place being so small and not having as much muscle mass as the other girls on stage...I ended up taking 1st Place in Bikini First Timers and 2nd Place in Bikini Open against so many beautiful women! To say I’m shocked doesn’t even cut it- I wasn’t expecting to place at all!! I’ve been working towards this show and dieting since November, it has been a long, hrs but very enjoyable and rewarding slog and there is no way I could’ve done it without the following people: My stinky love Andrew, thank you for putting up with me and giving me the encouragement I needed every day when I didn’t believe in myself. For driving all the way up to Sydney and back, picking up donuts on the way, just to watch me for a few hours, for chopping up my pumpkins and making my meals, weighed and measured to the gram when I don’t have time between clients. Thank you, I love you ❤️ My coach @catherinejane_u , there is no way in hell I’d be in this position without you! Since we started working together, my body has completely transformed. There are many ways to prep a client for a show, and you always do it with my health and happiness at the forefront, I can’t imagine myself working with anyone else as we make such a great team. I honestly can’t thank you enough ❤️ To the wizard woman @amberde.salon, thank you for once again doing a flawless job with my tan, hair and makeup and for putting up with me being an absolute spaz while you worked on me! You are incredible at what you do!! My best friend, and the girl who inspired me to stop wanting to compete and to just do it @teeghanlouise , you are hard work, grit and determination incarnate! Watching you push for why you want, day in day out, is so inspiring to me! You bring me back to earth when I spend to much time in my head, and constantly provide me with encouragement and support. #humpdaytransformation Oct 17- Jan 19 2x ‘bulks’, 2x bikini preps, countless training sessions following a programme (and around 1 thousand billion hip thrusts 🤪), weighing and tracking everything that goes into my mouth (more so when I’m dieting- I have a much more relaxed approach in my off seasons), implementing what I’m told to do by my wizard woman @catherinejane_u and not straying off plan! It frustrates me as a coach when people come to me wanting to lose their fat as quickly as possible and the get disheartened when I tell them how long the process actually is! Decent results take time! Whether you want to drop fat or gain curves/muscle! My results, and the results of my long term clients are down to doing what we need to do each and every day in order to make that goal happen and being PATIENT 😝 Sorry for being MIA- my PT business has really taken off and I’m 3 months into prepping for my next bikini competition and I don’t have time to be mucking about taking pretty pictures hahaha If you’re interested in training with me, I have a limited amount of PT sessions available at @ascendstrengthfitness sliiide in my DMs gurl 😍 #investinyourself
