Tomahawk Thursday with this awesome tomahawk from @tocamadera. 40oz of chipotle charcoal rubbed SRF American wagyu served with artisanal salts, garlic toreados and truffle butter.π

Surprised at how much I loved this big tuna roll stuffed with so much tuna and topped with luscious ikura from @sushitama_la.ππ Chef Hideyuki Yoshimoto worked 10+ years at the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo and you can tell his creations are top quality. My one regret was that I didn't order the omakase, which I'll definitely make sure to do next time I'm back.βΊοΈ

Loved my meal from @ruammitr_melrose with shrimp tom yum fried rice, crispy roasted duck, larb chicken wings and seaweed rolls. π₯° The fried rice and duck were the major highlights for me where I felt like I got to have shrimp tom yum soup but in a delicious fried rice version, plus it was my first time having awesome crispy roasted duck like that from a Thai restaurant. π

Got my favorite Chicago deep dish pizza shipped from @loumalnatis to bake and enjoy at home.ππ‘ I always get Lou Malnatiβs when I visit Chicago but since I haven't been traveling much this year due to the pandemic, I decided to order their pizzas to be shipped to me instead. Shared them with friends who never had Lou Malnati's before and after they tried it, they got their phones out to put in their own pizza orders because itβs just that good. ππ

Hit up @oceanprimebh and got this 16oz ribeye topped with decadent black truffle butter. This was actually the first steak I had at a restaurant since the pandemic and I almost cried with joy when I had that first bite of steak. It was incredible.π€€ How is everyone doing? I was away for a bit working on a massive project that took up a lot of my focus but it feels good to be back! π₯°

A gorgeous signature omakase from a new omakase box delivery service @sushidelreyla. Latest quarantine sushi was pretty great. π±π

Grilled New Zealand lamb chops from @mediikitchen.π₯ Finally ventured out for my first meal dining at a restaurant in over four months! I have to say even with me being on the patio, it felt strange dining in instead of doing takeout but I'm so glad my first meal out exceeded my expectations.π

Still thinking about this fantastic omakase bento I had last week from @ootorola. π± From dynamite shrimp that made me so happy after the first bite, abalone that really made me question how I ever possibly thought I didn't like abalone π€, to super fresh pieces of sushi and sashimi, I really loved this bento and would gladly get it again.βΊοΈπ

Picnicking with lobster rolls, surf & turf tots, and lobster tacos from @maine_street_lobster at Lake Balboa.π¦π§Ί I've had my share of good lobster but I was so impressed with the lobster here that I went up to the owner to let him know how much I loved the food! Highly recommend checking them out.π₯° Just don't forget to take off your mask like I did before trying to eat your lobster roll.π

Supreme sushi platter filled with too many of my faves like toro, wagyu, and Ora King salmon with black caviar from my current favorite sushi restaurant @thebrotherssushila. Sometimes I think I love sushi too much. Anyone else like me? π£π€€

Still playing around with cooking steak at home these days and decided to make this using A5 wagyu from @yazawameatbh, my current favorite place to get A5. I also wanted to make a version of their wagyu fried rice and added my own twist to it by topping it with kimchi.π₯ I used to be kind of scared to cook A5 wagyu at home in fear I would mess it up. I actually still take a deep breath before slicing into my steaks after I let them rest, and pray that they are not overcooked as I'll rather have my steaks still mooing before anything over medium.ππ₯©π

Filet for four π₯© where we also got mac & cheese, salad, and chocolate gooey butter cake from @flemingssteakhouse in Pasadena. Hosted my first socially distanced dinner where we picked up one of the Fleming's family menus and this was a great way to safely see friends over a good meal. Canβt wait to do this again.βΊοΈπ
