Peanut Butter 🥜 Protein Bars 😛⠀ Makes 12 bars⠀ ⠀ I don’t eat much peanut butter because I’m a wee sensitive to it, but when I do… THESE BARS ARE LIFE.🙌🏻⠀ ⠀ And yes, you can use any nut or seed butter. Heck you can make these totally nut-free if you use sunflower butter making them school-friendly.👩🏻🌾⠀ ⠀ •1 can (400mL) organic BPA-free chickpeas⠀ •1/2 cup peanut or almond butter (smooth or crunchy)⠀ •1 egg or 1 flax egg⠀ •1/4 cup @genuinehealth fermented vegan protein powder⠀ •1/3 cup maple syrup⠀ •1/2 cup chocolate chips⠀ •1/4 cup sulfite-free, unsweetened coconut flakes⠀ ⠀ 🤩Preheat oven to 350F (180C) degrees and grease or line a 8" baking dish with parchment paper.⠀ 🤩Place the chick peas, nut butter, egg or flax egg, protein powder, maple syrup and half the chocolate chips into a food processor or blender and give it a blitz until smooth.⠀ 🤩The batter will be thick. Pour or spoon batter into baking dish and press the batter down firmly. Sprinkle with all the coconut flakes and remaining chocolate chips.⠀ 🤩Bake for 30 minutes.⠀ ⠀ 🤩Refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months! EnJOY 😉 ⠀

I recently attended the Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA) which is Canada’s largest show dedicated to natural health and organic products — a holistic nutritionists dream ❤️(My little one joined for part of it too, with her 🦄) . Every year I look forward to this show because it’s an opportunity to see what’s happening in the industry and in many cases see new products before they hit store shelves across the country. .
