I needed a little joy yesterday, so I made myself a silly secret candy stash bag! Currently on my work table: cutting out my next double gauze quilt! I pulled a stack way back in March for a comforting quarantine quilt but time got away from me. I’m finally cutting into it now, including deconstructing an infinity scarf I don’t wear anymore. I made it with my very first piece of Nani Iro fabric back in 2011. I‘ve officially moved all the sewing stuff back upstairs and I’ve given the dining room a good tidying! 🌈 Still need to dust all the dishes and shelves, but that’s for another day. We never ate much in here until the pandemic started, so it will be nice to use it just for meals now! 🥰

One of the things I’m most happy to be including in my new pattern (available tomorrow 10/2!) is my favorite pillow backing, a zippered back! I think it makes for a really neat and clean finish, holds the pillow form in tightly and uses a standard zipper. Almost all of my pillows are finished this way, and I’m glad I finally took the time to write up throughout instructions for it! ✨ #quiltedpillow #jenibaker #bearpawpillows #quiltingisfun

I managed to finish up my little spooky wall hanging over the weekend, and get all decorated for Halloween! As with many holidays, a decent amount of my decor is stuffed animals 🎃 This was a fun project and I love how it fills up the space above our mantle.
