. FUN FACT: I never liked hot cross buns. I hated dried fruit in things as a kid. Now I don't mind it, but I'm fussy with them. Very very fussy. And I definitely don't eat them every year! So this is a chocolate chip hot criss bun, spread with peanut butter, because why not! And it'll probably be the only one I eat this year 😂 Is there anyone else out there like me, or am I riding solo? 😅

. Happy Easter, you little bunnies 🎉 How have you spent your day? I've had a few weird nights sleep, and in all honesty, it's been a rough week, mentally, so I've been quite mindful of myself today. I went for a walk and did some yoga, before jumping on a Zoom chat with my family. It was nice to see them, talk to them, but weird being socially distant... Can't say I was a fan. But I decided not to let it get me down, turning my thoughts and anxieties into an assignment and baked goods! Typical Ash 😅 And of course, treating myself to, well, treats, whenever I damn well felt like it, because why feel guilty for food? It's tasty. It makes us feel good. It nourishes our body 👌 Self-care is anything that involves looking after you. I've said it many times before, but it looks different for everyone every day. And today, this was what I needed to make space for myself, to help ease and relax my mind.

. ISOLATED ISOLATION. Being in isolation doesn't necessarily mean you have to be isolated. Many of us are blessed enough to have computers, phone, tablets, cameras, and all forms of technology to help us communicate. It is okay to feel lonely during this time. It's natural. I have definitely felt it on many occasions, and I'm feeling it a little still as I write this. But we are not alone. We still have each other. It may not be in the way we usually know, but we can still connect. - My Mum called me the other day, and we had a video chat! - A group of friends have organised a Skype dinner date for Saturday night, and my family, an Easter Sunday video chat over morning tea. - If you live with people, play games! Puzzles, video games, board games... Try something different. - Watch live videos! You can participate, communicate and feel part of a community without leaving your house. - Message people more. Just ask how they are. We are not alone. We still have each other. So let's find ways to connect. We don't know when restrictions will be lifted, so let's make the most of what we have and can do now. What are you doing to stay connected?? Reach out if you feel alone.. To me, your loved ones, your neighbours, because I guarantee they're feeling it too. We are not alone. ❤

. I'd love to say my day involved a homemade waffle sandwich, but realistically, it was a lot of lounging around with peanut butter, cookies, toast, porridge, tea, more peanut butter, and hummus 😅😅😅 Motivation has been a 1 of 10, and the only reason I say 1 is because I did manage to put together half a slice... Half, because I realised I didn't have enough ingredients to finish it... So maybe it should be 0.5 of 10 on the motivational scale? Ahahaha. Oh well. There's always tomorrow 🙊 How's your day been, hunnies?
