We've only had 1 HOUR of sunshine in Denmark this month 😬🥶 (granted, we're only midway through, but damn), which is why I'm smiling almost desperately into my camera; I strive to stay positive in these literally dark times. And while a pic with a smile does make for a greater shot - and I'm all about them pretty pics! 🌸 - it doesn't exactly reflect how I feel very accurately. During lockdown, my body feels like a stranger. Tired, depleted of energy, and there's certainly a disconnect between my body and mind. Somehow, I can't seem to find the motivation to do much.. This feeling isn't new to me, I've struggled with it my whole life and know how to deal with it. On days like these, I find it useful to focus on the small things to brighten up my day. 🌞🌸 3 things I do to boost mind and mood: 1️⃣ I make sure to have a great morning-routine with a healthy breakfast, delicious coffee and lit candles ☕ 2️⃣ I write down at least 1 thing I'm looking forward to doing today 3️⃣ I do stretching/breathing exercises Lockdown is tough y'all. For me it's by far dancing.. ever since my Female Dancehall classes were cancelled I've noticed a change in my mood for the worse (obviously)🌷 . Dancing makes me feel so alive and confident 💖 the women I dance with are mature, caring and understanding! We were given the challenge by Dansk Erhverv to help get more men to apply and complete the professional bachelor's degree in nursing here in DK 💉💊 . We drew on hegemonic masculinity theory in an innovative and sociological perspective, and it was exciting albeit challenging to combine gender theory with practical solutions. . Dansk Erhverv found our recommendations applicable and relevant - so safe to say that I'm pleased 😄😉 .
