Rosenborg Castle looks even more dramatic on moody days like this one 👌 For more than 400 years, Rosenborg has been standing tall in King's Garden in the heart of @visitcopenhagen, and today, the castle protects one of our great treasures: Denmark's crown jewels 👑💎 Have you ever been? Thanks for letting us share your #Copenhagen moment @eddokloosterman 🙏 #VisitDenmark
Strolling down the old streets of Odense like it's 1799 🚶 Odense is one of the oldest cities in Denmark and dates back to as early as 988 (whoa, that's old!). This charming street is called Ramsherred and is part of the Old Town Quarter, where some of the city's oldest and very well-preserved houses can be found. The famous fairy tale writer, Hans Christian Andersen, was born in a tiny little house just a stone's throw from this spot. And it's still there! Thanks for letting us share your #Odense moment @_broens 🙏 #VisitDenmark
Happy Little Friday! 😄 On a scale of 1 to 10 how much would you want to blissfully float through the air above the spectacular coast of @visitnordjylland right now? Thanks for letting us share your #Løkken moment @rebeccasortland 🙏 #VisitDenmark
Is this the most adorable beach hut you've ever seen, or what? 😍 @sekkogsandaler spotted this beauty on a Nordic island hopping adventure in the South Fyn Archipelago. With some 55 tranquil islands and islets, the South Fyn Archipelago is full of picture-perfect villages and white, sandy beaches (like this one in the island of Ærø!). But the best part is that they're yet to be discovered by the rest of the world 🏝 Thanks for letting us share your #Ærø moment @sekkogsandaler 🙏
Who would’ve guessed that the stairway to heaven leads to Løkken beach in @visitnordjylland?! It sure looks like heaven on Earth 😉 Thanks for letting us share your #Løkken moment @larskuse 🙏 #VisitDenmark
This is the stuff that fairy tales are made of 🧚 @egeskovslot on the pretty, green island of @visitfyn is one of Europe’s finest Renaissance buildings and on top of that, its historic gardens has been nominated by @cnntravel as one of the 12 most spectacular gardens in the world (yes, in the world!). But don't just take their word for it, go see for yourself and bring the family along for a magical day in south Fyn 🏰 Thanks for letting us share your #Egeskov moment @tatsolbe 🙏 #VisitDenmark
@thetravelbook is done for now! 🔥 We hope you will keep following our journey, as we try to inspire and motivate travelers to travel more eco-friendly! Some of the initiatives @thetravelbook focusses on are: 1. MAX fly ONCE a year! 2. Always stay at eco-friendly accommodations. 3. Choose the more sustainable transportation options. 4 Explore your neighbor countries to limit transportation. We are so thankful for all the positive feedback we have received during our takeover! Really thank you guys! 🙏 We hope to see you on @thetravelbook 💚
It is @thetravelbook last day of the takeover, and we wanted to make sure that we have covered both the mainland and one of the smaller islands of Denmark - and last but not least Bornholm! Many miss Bornholm on their tour through Denmark, and this a a huge mistake, since Bornholm is such a special part of our kingdom! On Bornholm you can experience ancient castles, a different culture inheritance and unique animal species, all similar but different to the rest of Denmark! 🇩🇰
Another thing we at @thetravelbook find very special about Denmark, are the old-school beach and spa hotels, that are located alongside Denmarks many coasts! Since we are a couple and own @thetravelbook together, we love combining romance and work! And there really isnt a better place than the peaceful, "hyggelige" and romantic settings of Danish beach hotels!
SWIPE for 🎬! If @thetravelbook had to highlight one specific Danish Island you should visit on your next summer holiday, we would say Læsø! This island is so incredible beautiful and has so many nice family outdoor activities to offer 😍 Swipe to see a video of horseback riding on Læsø 🏇🏼
@thetravelbook is often on the road which makes exercise difficult sometimes! However, this was one of the most fun and peaceful experiences we had on our roadtrip around Denmark and at the same time we got a little bit of exercise 😉 can you believe this crystal clear water is in Denmark?!
@thetravelbook wishes everyone a ROUGH and WILD friday 😉What we discovered on our roadtrip through Denmark was, that Denmark’s nature variate SO much more than we expected! Especially when we drove up the western coast of Denmark, we experienced totally different nature: from soft and mild to rough and wild! 🇩🇰
