For many people, the holiday season is the time of year to celebrate with family & friends and to give back to their community & to people in need. On December 1, 2018, the HUB Make Lab, in partnership with The Heritage Collective & Loving Street Children PH-Asia, is introducing HUB Help Out Day! The program will engage street children & families of Escolta. It is also one of the ways that the HUB Make Lab continually interacts with the multi-layered community that it is part of β€” from business owners to street vendors & the people that live along the street & the neighborhood. HUB Help Out Day follows in the tradition of the engagement projects & programs of the HUB Make Lab like Everyday Escolta (neighborhood engagement), ECOlta Fair (beginning a eco-sustainable lifestyle), Makers Open House (championing the maker spirit), & FUB Hangout (the building's anniversary celebration & one day test lab for pedestrianized streets). On Dec. 1, our creative haven will transform into a one-stop shop for the selected 20 street children and their parents/guardians. They will receive services, skill exchanges & activities ranging from haircuts, drawing, reading & writing workshops. Support the HUB Help Out day on December 1! You can donate any of the following items needed by our community members before December 1, 2018: 1. 20 Sets School Supplies (Pencil, Paper, etc) 2. 20 Sets of Children's Clothes (10 Boys / 10 Girls) 3. 20 Hygiene Kits (With Soap, Tooth Brush, Toothpaste, Shampoo, Comb) 5. Art Materials (Sketchbook, Crayons, Water Color, Paint, Brushes etc.) 6. 30 Sets Clothing for Adults (Unisex Shirts and Shorts) Can be used / second hand, in great condition so beneficiaries can wear it with dignity.
