Instagram vs Reality (swipe left) In all seriousness though I’ve been prioritising training my core super hard this year and the results are paying off big time! When it comes to revealing your abs from dropping bodyfat through a well worked out diet that’s one thing but it’s another thing to actually train your core hard and build a strong and functional core!! Having a strong and functional core will help you in so many aspects, one of these being keeping better posture in your everyday life and also assisting in taking pressure off your lower back through certain movements and exercises. That’s a big one for me. I would definitely say this includes running and sprinting Aswell! Don’t forget to also train your glutes and hamstrings in conjunction another couple of often left out body part for most! I see a lot of people who can get there abs to show but when it comes to basic ab strength they can barely hold themselves in exercise positions. Don’t be one of these people! It’s not worth it. Start training your core more!! Hope this can be a friendly reminder for some of you guys this week!! 💪🏻💪🏻 (PS: last two pics were taken after my last set I swear 🤣🤣)

So today I ran my first ever 8km and it’s safe to say the gates of heaven officially opened for me ⛅️😭 broke 35 minutes with a per km split of 4:22 for the whole 8km. Can hardly believe it tbh. Legit this was an absolute mission in my head as I haven’t run more than 5k in a row up until today but the body was in flow and we got it done!! One thing I’ll tell any beginner runners right now is that if you are just starting to run stretching is going to be a massive help to increasing your run performance! I stretch 3 sessions a week always now. Regardless of whether you are running or lifting it’s important put your body in a place where it is working for you and not against you. The same thing can be said about your nutrition 💪🏻💪🏻 (On a side note gonna have a new vlog up tonight on my channel so keep an eye out!!) 😎👊🏻
Who remembers when we used to sleep on a mattress on the floor together running @gymsteeze a few years back?? I’m a lucky man I owe this girl a lot. She’s been with me through thick and thin. It’s not always easy being self employed and tryna make things work. I’ve definitely had my ups and downs getting in my own head at the best of times and ima be real this shit has been hugely taxing on my mental health over the years but Jemma’s stuck with me through it all. Just grateful for everything in my life right now. Remember the fruits of your labour will always pay off. This year I’ve been making the conscious effort to work for tomorrow instead of the today’s in my life, something I wish I could tell the younger me who too often lived only for the short term. You’d be surprised though, the amount of short term fulfilment you can still receive when working for the long term picture. Just about re-wiring your brain. Knowing in the present that you are working/sacrificing for the future you is a feeling like no other when you can really get into the flow of it. Like I said really just wish I could tell the younger me this. Oh well we live and we learn.. Anyways hope you guys are ready for a big @gymsteeze summer, new samples coming in good 👀😤🔥 also got our time capsule drop going live this Thursday 🌪👀
Monday work at the track 💯 Killer session with @relentlessmontez today. Here’s how it goes down. I get to the track and I make sure I’m warm and ready to fuck shit up!! Full workout credit to Montez, he runs our track sessions every Monday 💯 here’s the workout we did: ✅ 5 minutes dynamic stretching (stretching body through movement and getting loose ie. not holding in positions) ✅ 4 laps x 400m jog around track (1.6km) ✅ 5 Level 2 height hurdle jumps followed by 6 cone station sideways high knees into 15 meter run out (3 sets!!) ✅ 5 level 2 height jumps with 1-2 pushups in between (3 sets!!) ✅ 3 in and out jumps across 6 cone stations into 15 meter sprint outs (3 sets!!) ✅ 4 laps x 400 meter jog around track (1.6km) ✅ Dynamic jumping split lunges across 6 cone stations into 15 meter sprint outs (3 sets!!) ✅ 5 level 4 hurdle jumps into 20 meter sprint outs (3 sets!!) ✅ 2 x 400 meter laps jog ✅ 15 minutes static hold stretching 🙆🏻♂️ Absolutely cooked by the end of this one 👨🍳🔥💯 Shoutout to everyone getting it done atm and putting in that work!! 💯💯
