However – when we are preparing our meals we must think of our goals and nutrient requirements. A bowl of oatmeal can range from 100-900 calories depending on your portion and add-ins. Pictured are two examples of breakfast protein oatmeal recipes with very different nutrient and macro profiles. Some people make the mistake of trying to be in a caloric deficit and adding in too many high calorie ingredients, or trying to make some gains and eating too little. But whether you’re training for a competition or feeling extra motivated, more isn’t always better.🛑 Rest day is very critical for those who train regularly (4-6) per week. Try to have at least one day as rest ( I personally like to have it on Sundays). Rest days are just as important as exercise❗❗. In fact, a successful fitness regimen isn’t complete without rest days. What are the benefits of REST DAY❓ ✅Allows time for muscle recovery ✅ Prevents muscle fatigue (Exercise depletes your muscles’ glycogen levels. If these stores aren’t replaced, you’ll experience muscle fatigue and soreness.) ✅ Reduces risk of injury ✅ Improves performance Each week, adults should get 150 to 300 minutes of moderate activity or 75 to 150 minutes of vigorous activity💪. You can also do a combination of moderate and vigorous activity. However, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY! If you feel like your mind can push but your body is giving out on you, it is your body's way of asking for a REST!
