My formula for maintaining mental health is to always be first on my priority list. It’s a non-negotiable. As a mom of 4 children, 10 and under — as a coach to dozens of women at a time — as a wife, daughter, sister, and friend... My secret is to put myself first. There used to be a level of guilt that I carried for making that choice. It was short-lived. The only guilt I feel now is the guilt of giving a half-filled version of myself in a fully blessed life – so I make sure that doesn’t happen. My coach has taught me well that what’s in your cup belongs to you, your overflow belongs to others. It’s why everything that I teach (even to my children) evolves around the many ways and means of getting full and staying full. For me, in order to be truly full I’ve got to be truly FREE – because a life of fulfillment can only be created when you’re free to be yourself, think for yourself, love yourself, and do what you love. I stay mentally healthy by being free to release what doesn’t align and receive ONLY what does. I’ll go deeper into my systems and practices on The Feminine Success Masterclass. I find it so compelling that when the waves were at their worst and the sea was roaring Christ told the water to be still – then he invited his disciple to WALK ON THE WATER. Not hope and hunker down. Not wait for the storm to pass. Not even pray in tongues and prophecy. But walk on the water. Practicality plus wisdom. Masculine action plus Feminine faith. So many of us miss the opportunity to speak to the storm and walk on the sea because we lean heavily on masculine “logic” – which has its place – rather than feminine intuition. I challenge you to find harmony between what you see (your circumstances) and what you know (your calling) I challenge you to speak to the storms in your life and walk on the water. Burn the boats. Believe in your ability and move toward the shore to find your paradise. If you don’t stand in it, the sea will spit you out and leave you shipwrecked.
