There’s nothing sadder to me than modern concept of “brand ambassador”. It is the most exhausting marketing treat. You don’t want to be a brand ambassador. It is embarrassing. It is nouveau. It is overplayed. It is glamorised resale. It is for captive nobodies. But worse: it is an inversion of the true essence of ambassadorship and pastime hostage pastiche. What you want is subverted alternatives to ambassadoring. Your attitude should say that you can drop out easily. An influencer to me is someone who is equally important as the brand of which they are a conduit. A first brand is one that when you think of it there is an immediate identity association and the main offering is the values they promote which have stood the test of time. Rarely have I met a person of real influence calling themselves “influencer”. There was a time when something meant something, and one had gotten rather used to that. #BestOfBritish #BestOfCoco

A bit of PPE pep talk from someone who never got around to Oxford: One had better keep one’s story to fewer words to avoid leading the listener down a blind alley. Because if properly told he or she who listens will pick up the headline, get the right moral side of the story and the inevitable truth will triumph. A good writer would always assume that the intelligent reader would get it notwithstanding the outside noise. If someone communicates assuming that the stupid won’t get it they are either seeking out the wrong audience or their language needs improving. I am all in for wor(l)d economy. Turn down the volume, keep it economical, safeguard your attitude except for when expressing your gratitude or magnitude; in these two instances go completely overboard. // May the vote be with U.S. #EverythingMatters #MakeEverythingGreater #PPEOxford

My hair was Instagrammable long before Instagram. So the now hashtag “#LongHairDontCare” is a misconstruction from the original coined expression “LongHairWeCare” by Neville, the House of Hair, who certainly cares for me many long hours per week. After three torturous months of hair un-dressing and few YouTube exploits at the cost of nearly burning down the property with the curling tong (I will never D-I-WHY again!!!) The Hairess Coco is getting her locks out post-lockdown! Thanks Boris for patriotically allowing us all to finally untangle our lives on the 4 Julyl! Long Live Haute Hair! Social distancing is not new to me. There’s a difference between being remote from people and being removed from society. Between not attending the party and not receiving the invite. Between standing inside looking out versus climbing up but not seeing in. Between (Roll)ing four used tyres in contrast to being one with The Rolls-Royce. And, plainly, between that which is The Original and that which, at best, is originated from The Original. There are three types of people: Those who have. Those who have more. Those who take from those who have. Social (distancing) rules — although recent for some — have always been royal protocol to me. // 📷 @aubade_creative #NoblessOblige #MandatoryObligations #RRToYourHH

‘know’ is by far my favourite word - and word of choice - in the Oxford English Dictionary. in these uncertain times we must know what to know and gather what we don’t, and not let things pass us by unknowingly #IfYouKnowYouKnow #KnowingMeKnowingYou

There is an honourable and decent way of going about something. And then there is “the other way”. Have your own game, play it cleanly, even if it’s more difficult, takes longer — in the long term it will earn you a reputation that is not vicarious. Anyone doing ”the other way” is asking to be unfollowed. Hence my following understands integrity. #CocoAndHerCo
