🤾🏼♂️Put me in coach Did you make a fitness resolution for this year too? I’m usually completely terrible at keeping them but we’re really gonna give it the ol college try this time. A few of my fitness goals this year are: 1️⃣ Jump rope everyday 2️⃣ Hire a trainer 3️⃣ Get back into playing tennis 4️⃣ Learn how to float into a hand stand 5️⃣ SPLITS When I hear “fitness goals” the only thing that usually comes to mind is “lose weight or gain weight” and I come off that workout high so fast. Ya gotta be more specific. What helps me stay on track is making smaller, more specific goals that are more exciting to achieve ya know? The little goals keep me going and it doesn’t get so boring because working out low key sucks🙃so you might at as well make it fun! What about you? What are your fitness New Years resolutions? (ps I’m on the hunt for a personal trainer with a studio based in SD if you know anyone hmu thxxx)
New Years resolution: Be more vulnerable. I love vulnerability; it will deepen any relationship. I love love love when my friends are open and fully transparent with me, especially when they’re going through a tough time like let’s TALK THIS OUT YES yet... I’ve been learning that I myself am actually not as vulnerable as I think I am? It made me evaluate a lot of my friendships and relationships. And when I really think about it, I see a pattern of letting myself open up and unlock those doors just enough to feel comfortable and then I stop myself. This is something I’m changing this year because I’ve recognized that this comes from the fear of being a burden paired with the “I can do this on my own” mentality (♉️)— and that’s just not gonna cut it anymore. Reality check: life is much harder to navigate alone and growth comes from making yourself uncomfortable. Talk to your friends, talk to your partner, let them in. Really let them in. Let them see the good, bad, and the ugly. Talk about the hard stuff together. In the grand scheme of it all, while we think we are protecting ourselves from heartbreak, we are actually probably setting ourselves up by remaining closed off. I kick myself in the ass for not realizing this sooner about myself but hey, this year is about growth right? Gotta start somewhere. 2021 is about deepening relationships and I can get into that. Happy Sunday💖
We have one day left of 2020. An ocean of critical and impactful events, closely followed by the longest emotional rollercoaster, have taken place this year on our little planet. As incredibly difficult this year has been and as excited I am for it to end, there are some things I’m really thankful for. I think it’s important to reflect on what good has happened this year even if it’s far and few in between. I’m thankful, first off, for you. Making the career shift I’ve always wanted to make was possible because of you. Thank you for quite literally making my dream come true. I met @lissettecalv half way through the year who completely changed my life and keeps me going daily. Constantly makes me believe in myself whether she realizes she’s doing it or not. I’m thankful for my relationships both friendly and romantic. I’m thankful that I was able to experience the most intense and passionate love I have ever felt. I’m thankful for my friends who showed me so much love and compassion this year in both good times and bad. I’m thankful for continual personal growth, the realization of things that need to change in my life, and the will power to make those changes. I’m thankful that my family is safe and 2020 was unsuccessful in taking the lives of my loved ones— even though it tried. At the end of each year I reflect on everything that happened and think about how I can apply my past experience to the upcoming year. In 2021, I’m not setting expectations, I’m setting intentions. Intentions and specific personal goals. I’m going to ride this wave of life right into the next stage and will adapt to anything that comes my way. I believe this next year will be filled with exponential growth and I have never been more ready than I am right now. I’m leaving my old self behind and I’m excited for who I’m going to become. Set some goals and intentions today♥️

Hello and Happy Holidays!! I’m usually fully in the Christmas spirit by now but I’ve been so distracted with ✨everything else✨ that I’m a little late to the party! I needed to take a little break from creating but I’m back baby. Speaking of holidays, do you treat yourself to any special gifts? If you don’t usually, maybe you should for making it through this year :) Me? I think it’s time for a camera upgrade. Lastly, big thank you @aldo_shoes hittin me with some new kicks for this holiday season! I had some fun with them. Swipe through to see for yourself☺️♥️
Where are my fellow coffee lovers at?? With the holidays just around the corner, the seasonal drinks have arrived and @7Eleven has one one of my favorite drinks to make: Candy Cane Cocoa Coffee😋 Here’s how I make it: 1. Grab a medium sized coffee cup 2. Pour Candy Cane Cocoa 3. Add a splash of Medium Roast Coffee Boom. Done. Peppermint, chocolate, espresso goodness. If you like your coffee less sweet, cut the Candy Cane Cocoa in half and fill the rest with Medium Roast Coffee! How do you like your coffee? More on the sweet side or bitter the better? #7ElevenHacks #OnlyAt7Eleven # ad
YOU HAVE UNLIMITED POTENTIAL. So many of us are blinded by society from this powerful mindset. From a young age we are told what to believe, what to think, and what we can and can’t do. This can be good and bad. I believe that it’s good to have some sort of direction while growing up to help prepare us and navigate through life. But some of us never break out of what we’ve always known. Some people find comfort in that and that is completely okay! But I’m talking to you. You who WANTS to break free of what you’ve always known and live the life that you have always thought and dreamed about... but believe that you just can’t do it. There are MANY trials and road bumps that life takes us through, and it can make us feel so defeated at times, but when it comes down to it— you are the only person holding you back from reaching your true potential. Doing what you have always wanted to do, being who you have always wanted to be, all of that requires you to take risks and be open to change. And change is hard. Change is scary. But the power of adaptability is your first step to embracing and ultimately defeating the fear that you have inside of you. The fear of the unknown! Doing things that scare you like moving to a new city, starting your own business, meeting new people and making new connections— these are just a few examples of things that will help you become exactly who you want to be and do exactly what you want to do. Idk this has just been my experience, but take if from someone who grew up in a tiny town in Indiana and is slowly making his dream life his reality— you can do anything you want and you can be whoever you want to be in life. You just have to be willing to do the work to make it happen. Believe that.
A real life representation of how my life has been going 🙃 The other day I saw @kyliekatich post a collage of expressions and it inspired me to do the same. @artleap_by_lightricks’ collage effect has so many different options too. From unique arrangements to flexible ratios and frame patterns, the possibilities are truly endless (especially their background pattern selection). I’m definitely ready for a break from the rollercoaster of life lol. Moving, work, the holidays, huge life changes all happening at once? Kinda feels like I’m carrying around a giant weight around. BUT regardless— I know good things are coming and I’m really excited for what’s to come. #artleapapp #artleap
Reset. I heard someone say the other day, “my life is not for someone else to accept.” And it made me think about how I live my own life. I believe there is a big difference between taking others into consideration and worrying about what others think about you. Something to remember: This is YOUR life and no one else’s. I think a lot of us have the tendency to worry so much about what other people think that it keeps us from doing things that will help us create the life we desire to have. At the same time, there is a balance to this. It’s easy to ONLY think of ourselves and check out from all of the other relationships we have in order to propel ourselves forward. Make sure to give special attention to these precious friendships that you hold close to your heart. They are so important. Life is not about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself. Start practicing making decisions for you and not to please someone else. I’m in this with you♥️
