If there’s one piece of advice I’d give to a foodie here on Instagram - it’s to get a mint plant 😂🌱 honestly just adds such a pretty pop of colour cause otherwise it’s hard to get a pretty-looking vibrant green colour into your photos 🤗 this nana ice cream looked so dull before I added mint! Speaking of - I haven’t had nana ice cream in so long 😭 this bowl was so good (although I did loaad it with way more granola after I took this photo hehe) // nana ice cream (half plain, half with blueberries + @organicburst açai powder) topped with fresh raspberries and blueberries, chocolate granola, cacao nibs, shredded coconut, and a few sprigs of mint! I need to start making this more 😝 ~small note (idk how many of you have read this far haha), my boyfriends coming to visit me from Chicago so I probably won’t be able to get away from him to post 😅 so apologies in advance if I disappear for a week and a half and spend every minute of my day with my boy ✌🏻❤️

Question - have any of you guys found that switching to a business account on Instagram lowered your engagement?? I never considered it as a possibility and always attributed my lowered engagement to the new algorithm from around 2 years ago. I remember that the algorithm changed and my engagement dropped and that’s what made me struggle to make and post photos, eventually leading me to take a 1-year hiatus because it was just too much stress and pressure. I only recently heard some people mentioning that having a business account lowers engagement as well? I used to have a business one but I just changed it back to a personal one in hopes that Instagram won’t be interfering with my engagement or anything...😞 it makes me sad sometimes to remember how greatly I enjoyed making food and instagramming and meeting foodies when I first started all those years ago, but now I catch myself stressing about how many likes and followers I have. Maybe it’s something that comes with age? Or maybe there’s just higher standards and expectations among food instagrammers nowadays? I don’t know~~ // but ya daily thoughts over -let’s turn to breakfast! Snacking 🤗💚💛 so since I got back to insta, I went to visit some of my old friends accounts and saw that quite a lot of them disappeared from Instagram without warning 😔 I have no idea why and now I’m wondering how they’re doing. Do people just get too busy to take photos? Is Instagram just too stressful and energy-consuming? HEY EVERYONE! Guess who’s back!! After almost an entire year of being in hiatus, I’ve decided to rejoin the Instagram community. So much has happened in the past year. I started uni, moved to London, got a boyfriend...❤️ anyways, life has been so hectic and I could never really see myself going back into the “wake up every morning and make a pretty bowl of oatmeal” routine, so yes I am back, but I think I might change the theme of my account now. It used to be exclusive to food I made, but especially with my current life, that is way too stressful and pressuring. I felt like my like and follower count was some “rating” of how good my abilities were, so when things didn’t go well, my mood would follow. Now, I’m just gonna use this as a lifestyle account. That being said, my life practically revolves around food so don’t worry - there’ll still be lots of food! Maybe I’ll also be posting makeup/skincare stuff cause I actually use that stuff now. Maybe I’ll post some calligraphy videos. Maybe I’ll post some photos about all the amazing foods and sights in London. Stay tuned! I also blocked all the people I know personally from this account, which is strangely relieving. It’s different to ramble about life knowing that your friends and distant acquaintances are reading it. Now I can feel free to talk about life without worrying about judgement - just like I could when I first started this account (happiest days ever!). I’ve really missed making friends on here! I missed this whole happy community of sharing ideas and thoughts and opinions and I can’t wait to be part of it again. Hi guys~~ so I have a bit of an announcement 🙃 I think I'm going to take a break from Instagram for a bit, until I finish my final exams in May. I'll be back, don't worry! But in the meantime I want to be able to enjoy my last weeks as a senior and find the time to study for my exams. I hate to say this, but it's sad that posting here has almost become a burden to me and is constantly stressing me out. It started off as a place for me to share my passions and meet new people, but now I can't help but stress about the fact that, ever since Instagram changed its algorithm, my follower count has been dropping. I hit 8k last summer and a year later, the number's only gone down. I know, it's not all about the numbers, but I'm sure many of you understand the frustration when you put a lot of effort into a photo, but it just doesn't seem to interest anyone. Anyways, I'll be back soon - hopefully with a renewed mindset and passion ❤️ (I'll probably still go through my feed from time to time and I'll check my dm's and reply to your comments. I'm just taking a break from posting ✌🏻️)

My mom's strawberry plant is growing strawberries too! I'm so excited to see how they taste. Just gotta wait a couple more days for the first ones to fully ripen 👌🏻💯 in the meantime, I'll be buying strawberries and pairing them with these crêpes 😍 along with banana (hidden inside the crêpes), kiwi, mango, and blueberries 😋 gimme all da fruits 😛💖
