#Repost from @your.caribbean.nutritionist 💜 Happy World Mental Health Day! 🗓 This day comes in the midst of a year that has been unprecedented. 😔 Social isolation, threatened livelihoods, economic worries, fears about our health, the loss of jobs and loss loved ones has left many of us reeling. 🌎 @who predicts that the need for mental health support will increase exponentially in the coming months and years. 🙌🏾 Today, as @healthycaribbean youth, we celebrate World Mental Health Day – the goal is increased investment (money and human resources) in mental health. This investment is needed across disciplines – within workplaces and integrated into country-level policies. 🏫Today we want to bring awareness to the need to invest in mental health support in schools – especially now. A healthy school should provide access to healthy foods, physical activity opportunities and mental health support for students and its staff. 👩🏾🏫 Check-in with people navigating the new school system - parents, students and school staff - find out how they're doing and what they need, and don’t forget to check in with yourself too. 💃🏾 Finally, I encourage you to spend today doing things that bring you joy! #yourcaribbeannutritionist #moveformentalhealth #worldmentalhealthday #StrongerTogether
🤗 I just want to say thank you!! One month ago I launched @your.caribbean.nutritionist and the support that I've received from so many people and from unlikeliest of places has brought me so much motivation and joy! I just want to say thank you from the very bottom of my heart! Nutrition has been my passion for the last 8 years and my profession for the last 3 years. I've been blessed to have had so many fantastic, unbelievable opportunities during this time and I've have gained so much knowledge! I know that my calling is to help people live a more fulfilling, productive life and @your.caribbean.nutritionist is one way that I've found to give back to the caribbean community that has truly blessed and brought me so much joy! 💃🏾 We're going to achieve so much together. I'm excited!

🎊 4 months loc'd today!! Thank you for all of the encouragement! It's been such a great journey so far. Here are some of the perks of having locs. I takes me 30 seconds to do my hair in the morning Wash day doesn't last an ENTIRE day or half a day...or a quarter of a day No detangling I use almost no products Heading to the beach without worrying about my hair!! This is the life! 🙏🏾🤗😉
💕 Sundays are for brunch and afternoon naps!
💕We are made of all those who have built and broken us.
🙌🏾 4 months loc'd in 4 days! For the last 4 months my hair has been going through some 'interesting' changes and I've been celebrating them privately. Honestly, I've been hesitant to share this aspect of my journey with anyone outside of my inner circle because... This part isn't #hairgoals or #loccrush status. This part is "I'm disappointed in you for locking your hair." This part is "Are you sure you want to do that?" This part is "Maybe you should have done instant locs..." This part is "Oh, you're still doing that?" This part is "You should have done #sisterlocks" 👆🏿 All comments that I've received in the past 4 months. This part is hard, messy and uncomfortable but I consciously chose this option for several reasons and I wouldn't have it any other way!
