My Process: Journal. Write. Research. Analyze. Run until my thoughts become images. Sketch until I’m content. Create. This process can happen over the course of days or years. All of these steps are intermingled and such a part of me. I strive to trust the process and grow in each step.
In 2019, I had a dermoid ovarian cyst removed. The tumor contained a diversity of tissues including hair, teeth, bladder cells, aaand brain cells. That monster was the size of an apple according to the doctors. The discovery of that cyst lead to the discovery of other health complications. As a result, I had to undergo several tests over the course of a year. Well, my friends, I have finally paid off that demon twin child. Thank you to those of you that have supported my art. Your support has helped me pay for my medical expenses.

We The People created by Nari Ward. “We the People calls on us to reflect on our bedrock values as Americans through it translation of that iconic text into everyday materials. Tomorrow will be the first day of my 9th year of teaching. I am a student as much as I am a teacher. I hope to continue to learn and grow from each challenge. My goal is to leave some sort of positive impact on my students. We need change and that takes a community working together towards a better future. I’m looking forward to seeing my “sweet angel babies.”
