#SaveMasungi Last year, my friends and I hiked up the Masungi Georeserve to plant some trees. As of our visit, there have been 44,000 seedlings planted since the initiative began. And while it only requires 3 kinds of native seedlings for a forest to bloom, it only takes one greedy corporation who cannot give two shits about the environment to bring everything back to ground zero. ______ It breaks my heart to hear about the news that a portion of the Geopark has been blocked off by barbed wires by a quarry company. According to @masungigeoreserve, the area is part of the Upper Marikina River Protected Landscape, where quarrying and oher extractive activies are BANNED. The same site is already the source of drinking water for locals, who are in the midst of experiencing depleting water supplies every year. On top of this, it is also what protects against massive landslides and flashfloods. ______ So yep, this is a massive clusterfuck waiting to happen. Because if there's anything to learn from the recent climate catastrophes is that Mother Earth always comes to take back whats hers. Stop killing our trees!!! (Last photo from @masungigeoreserve

I don’t know a lot of people who would willingly hop on a plane with me at a short moment’s notice (and without any money). So when I find them, I hold them very close to my heart. Happy birthday, @beaquerubin. We’ve made a lot of dumb and financially-questionable decisions together—and even though they still make my bank account break a sweat, they’re also priceless memories I will treasure forever (at least, the ones I remember LOL). And if ever the day comes that we stop talking, know that you’ll always find me at the nearest dance floor, busting it out like your repressed Catholic school girl auntie after a glass of Shiraz at a family reunion. At 3pm. And I will always, always hold a place for you. Mwa.

The true wonder of @wonderfruitfestival is how I still have #CONTENT to last me a few months. 🤪
