And there’s just a few things I need to get off of my chest:⁣ ⁣ 1. My native South Carolinians, please wear face masks, social distance and wash your hands because I need my Mama to come and visit (aka save) me in Philly.⁣ ⁣ 2. Parenting during a pandemic will bless you with a bunch of grey hairs, under-eye wrinkles and a great deal of patience. Lord knows I love JP, but toddlers are something else.⁣ ⁣ 3. Breonna Taylor’s murderers are still FREE — and just because her name isn’t trending, doesn’t mean WE should forget that.⁣ ⁣ 4. Protect #DawnWooten at all costs! Yet again, a BLACK woman told y’all!⁣ ⁣ 5. I’ve heard countless mothers/parents talk about struggling with working later and longer hours because of the many other responsibilities they need to fulfill. I IMPLORE you to sign off when you are DONE for the day, use your vacation hours whenever you need to and advocate for your mental health/wellbeing. I’m working on this too, so let’s commit to getting it done together.
