我的歌声里生专辑十周年生日快乐! Happy birthday to “Everything In The World” my 1st full album🎉🎊! My baby is 10 years old☺️. I’ve made so many connections with people around the world because of it. The best thing came out of my song writing journey is knowing by sharing the capsules of my vulnerable moments and honest feelings, it had helped people. To me the best reward isn’t the trophies sitting on a shelf or the plaques hanging on a wall. The best reward is knowing I brought peace, understanding, comfort and love to someone’s life and it sits right in my heart. By making others feel seen heard and understood, I feel seen heard and understood. By validating my own feelings in my songs, others feel their feelings are validated too. We all count and we all matter! I usually don’t listen to my own songs because it takes a lot of my energy cuz I relive the songs every time. But today, I played the full album to honour and celebrate this baby of mine. Boy oh boy. Did I feel my songs deeper than ever! I’m honestly amazed how relevant the songs still are to my current state. It’s almost like the younger me wrote these songs just for the future me to listen to in case I needed some comfort or to feel seen heard and understood. Today, the past me mothered the present me. I finally realized, music is truly timeless. Here’s the video I made back then to show what goes on behind making this album. I miss being in the studio and creating together. Now it has 414, 691 views on YouTube 😲 I’m not even in the music video 😄 I appreciate the heck out of you for clicking on it, watching it, sharing it, liking it, and commenting with your stories and feedback 🙏🥰. I poured my heart and soul into writing this song back in 2015. It was easy to start the song because I had so much feelings sitting in my chest I needed to unload, but it was incredibly hard to finish because anytime I sat at the piano and sang the chorus lines it would make me feel extremely emotional to the point I couldn’t sing anymore. So I had to stop for a while until I met Yin Yue and we sat down together and finished it.
