In honor of starting ✨ YEAR 8 ✨in this crazy profession we call teaching here’s 8 things about me! 1️⃣I consider the first day of school a holiday 2️⃣I’ll be back doing student council this year and I’m so excited about it 3️⃣ 3/5 days I drive home in complete silence 😂 4️⃣ I will NEVER get tired of teaching 4th grade… I love consistency and here’s to many more years in 4th! 5️⃣I love that every year truly feels like a fresh start 6️⃣I can say the alphabet backwards in less than 6 seconds 7️⃣I think cereal is a perfectly acceptable dinner every now and then when I don’t feel like making something 8️⃣My only goal tomorrow is to have fun and show those kids how much I love them
First day of school be like…. JUST KIDDING! Follow along to see what REALLY happens on the first day in my class. *Hint: no rules on the first day… Side Note: anyone else as OBSESSED with the office as I am?!😂
It’s the little things that make me happy guys 😅😂 $3.99 for a THREE pack on @amazon just search “mouse holding book sticker”
I got this idea from a coworker years ago! It’s a small way to show you care about them and your quick response is something they’ll look forward to! I never know what I’ll end up reading so it’s always fun for me to see what they write. If you don’t do spelling tests you can do this on the back of any assignment, however often you want! Also idk why I said I appreciate that I do this (I did this in one take) I think I meant kids appreciate me responding/I’m glad I do this 🤣🥴😂 #teacherlife #teacher #iteach #classroom #classroomideas #students #classroomcommunity #iteach #teach #iteachfourth #azteacher #arizonateacher #school #learning #teachingideas #spellingtest
#ValentinesDay will be here before you know it! 💕This is my go-to each year... simple, easy to make, kids can customize their own, and best of all FREE🥳 6 Paper bags and boxes just never really worked well for my class or budget. What’s your favorite holiday to celebrate with your class?💕
What is going on this school year?!?! PLEASE tell me you can relate?!?! Or actually, I hope you don’t relate to this because the struggle has been real!
Tell me you’re trying not to disrupt your entire class without telling me you’re trying to not disrupt your entire class 🙃 I’ve been struggling with constantly having to redirect behaviors this year. Proximity control has been my go-to. It helps me to not have to stop the entire lesson and it’s been the easiest to do! #IsItFridayYet
Last “keep it simple” tip! Here’s what I do in my class for birthdays! 🎂 I feel like being honest is important, and if I’m being honest I’ve really REALLY tried to not spend my personal money on things for my classroom anymore unless absolutely necessary. 🤷🏻♀️
Let’s talk classroom supplies! I have learned to pick my battles over the years and this is how it goes in my classroom 😜 Happy Sunday!
Teaching kids be like…. 😆 They are so random at times but that’s also why I love them!😂
🛑 @amazon wow this is incredible 😂 I am so excited to get my class HYPED for each other! I will use this when something really fantastic happens in my class (a student’s answer is incredible, etc). 🛑 I told my class that when I press it, they all must clap or give a woo!/cheer! For 3 seconds to add to the HYPE! (This is something I have modeled and we have actively practiced. 3 seconds and 3 seconds only and being sure to get right back to being focused!) 🛑 I used it today and it added such a fun energy to our classroom! The quick cheer/smiles help us realize this is a fun place to cheer and uplift one another! 🛑 In order for it not to get “old” I’m going to be very intentional when I use it! This is only saved for something really really awesome. 🛑Just search “Hype Button” on Amazon. It’s $14 and comes with batteries! Woo!
Any and all #classroomlibrary tips are appreciated in the comments 😅 Seven years of teaching and I have yet to nail down on a real checkout system! I tell them take it home but bring it back and cross my fingers it comes back 🤞🏽🫠
