Huascaran National Park contains over 600 glaciers and more than 300 lakes with new lakes being born each year. This one, Laguna 69, being one of the most famous. Just Stunning! #laguna69
Sometimes a furry friend is all you need when travelling! This adventurous fella decided to follow us along on our first two days on the Santa Cruz trek in Huaraz, Peru. We paused for lunch at the top of Punta Union Pass, and marvelled at the sheer beauty of the lake below πππ
Sometimes a moment aligns perfectly. This white horse just trotted into the frame and looked right at me. The white horse roaming across the Cordillera Blanca Mountain valleys encapsulates that sense of freedom that travelling gives. A cliche, perhaps, but a well deserved one! β€

A flamboyance of flamingo chattering in the shallow waters of Laguna Colorada. We were blown away seeing so many of these elegant birds at such close quarters and in a landscape of such immense proportions. A true feast for the eyes.
An alpaca in the Eduardo national park, Bolivia. We loved seeing herds of llama, alpaca and vicuΓ±a roaming the vast plains. Owners identify their beasts with colourful woollen decorations adorning their fluffy chests or hanging delicately from their ears.
One thing that came as an amazing surprise on the salt flats tour was the incredible variety of the landscape. Lago Verde has a green tinge thanks to the content of arsenic and other minerals. Our tip is to take a four day tour from Tupiza rather than Unyuni. There are far fewer companies to choose from and the route takes you through the REA national park ending at the salt flats.
