When a hurricane is on its way to Bermuda, the island gets busy with hurricane prep. Boat owners secure their boats on what’s called hurricane moorings. Moorings that are fortified with a heavier bottom weight and heavier chain, to withstand strong hurricane winds and rough seas. Then we go home and wait for the hurricane to pass quickly without damage to the island or our boats! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now with hurricane Larry passing us, we hope and pray that everyone stays safe.
