My Tabouli Recipe👇🏾 Nay or Yay for cucumber 😬 Tabouli is the king of salads in the Middle East 😋 it compliments almost all meat dishes and it’s perfect for your barbecues, you just have to be patient with chopping that parsley. Now more importantly please don’t choose to make your tabouli outside on a windy day 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ lots can go wrong 😂 just ask me. Main Ingredients * 1 ½ tablespoon cracked wheat (fine) * 4-5 medium tomatoes * 4 bunches flat-leaf parsley (approximately 400 grams) * 4 spring onions * ½ bunch mint leaves (approximately 40 grams) * 1 large Lebanese cucumber Dressing * 5 tablespoons of olive oil * 5 tablespoons of lemon juice * salt to season #salad #tabouli #healthysalad #veganrecipes #easyrecipe

NO graphic images, only the heartbreaking reality of Palestinian children who have been displaced, orphaned, hurt, and traumatised. If you choose not to watch, you are making the conscious decision to remain unaware. This was far the most difficult reel I have had to do 😭😭😭 How can we expect these children to grow up without harbouring feelings of hate and bitterness towards a society that has failed them? What is it about these children that makes it so difficult for the Western world to relate to and empathize with their suffering? It’s a hard pill to swallow 🥲 URGENT ‼️ We need the Australian government to retract its support to war crimes. Please help up by signing the petition. We have 50k signature but they’ll only take it seriously if it’s over 100k. The link is above just under my profile picture 👆🏽or google this👇🏾 https://chng.it/PH6XgZFnCD

The MEDIA needs to do better 😡 It’s disheartening to see the misrepresentation of stories in the media, particularly when it comes to complex and sensitive issues. The media has a responsibility to provide balanced, unbiased reporting that showcases all sides of a story. Failing to do so not only does a disservice to the public, but it also fuels misunderstanding, hatred, and violence. The P🖤lestinians deserve the truth and the full picture to be told and shown so people can form their own informed opinion. Let us demand integrity in journalism and hold media accountable, for in truth, we find the path to unity, peace, and justice for all. Perhaps we need to start tagging 🙄

I’m sure many of you guys are feeling helpless, emotional, angry and sad all at once. The genocid💔 we have seen and continue to see is mind blowing. The fact that no one has c0ndemned the killing of P🖤lasinian civilians mostly children makes me sick! I have no words for them - simply inhumane!!! BUT this is for those who have chosen to REMAIN SILENT… Your silence is deafening. Your indifference is palpable. Your neutrality is frightening. Your hypocrisy is abhorrent. This is not a complicated issue. This is not being hidden from you. I no longer accept ignorance as a valid excuse. In an issue so heinous, so immoral, so one sided, silence is undoubtedly complicity. If you have ever questioned how you would react throughout history in times of injustice, simply look at your actions and behaviour during the current massacre of P🖤lestinian people. Whether it be slavery in the 1800s or a@partheid in South Africa, your reaction to the current genocide in G🖤za is indicative of how you would have reacted to the these events. The same people ostensibly taking a stand against colonisation with the vote Yes Campaign are the same people staying silent when active colonisation is taking place in P🖤lestine right now. Best believe you would have been complicit in the Australia settler colonialism project during the 1800s. The fact that a country has convinced some of you that they are in fact the victims whilst simultaneously illegally occupying and shamelessly ethnically cleansing an entire people is TERRIFYING Your reaction is a reflection of your principles and character. And I am not sorry if that is jarring some of you. DO BETTER! @consciouslyirrational

If you’re looking for a quick, stunning, and delicious centerpiece for your next gathering, you’ll love this. My salmon platter isn’t just a feast for your taste buds but also a treat for the eyes. You always hear me say ‘we eat with our eyes first! So here you go, this is how I plate mine up: What You’ll Need: * A three-tier stand *Bread (You can char it or use fresh. I even fried up some Arabic bread and sprinkled it with sumac for a delightful twist!) *Three contrasting dips (Homemade or store-bought – your choice! Just ensure they are colourful) * Garnish for each dips * Smoked salmon * Lettuce (cut into chunks) * Cucumber (sliced thinly lengthways) * Lemon (for zesting) * Red onion (diced) * Salt & black pepper * Edible flowers (for that added flair!) Assembly: Top Tier: Bread Station *Place the bread of your choice on a round plate. * If you’re using Arabic bread, frying it and sprinkling with sumac gives it a unique and flavourful twist. Middle Tier: Dip Delight * On a bigger plate, place three small bowls. * Fill each bowl with a dip of your choice. Think of colours that complement and contrast with each other for a visual pop! * Garnish each dip. Even if you’re using store-bought dips, a little garnish goes a long way in making it look homemade and thoughtful. Bottom Tier: The Salmon Spectacle * Start by placing chunks of lettuce all around the plate. * Twist pieces of smoked salmon and nestle them between the lettuce chunks. * Curl the thinly sliced cucumber and scatter it between the lettuce and salmon, creating a beautiful mosaic of green and pink. * Finish off with shaved lemon zest and a sprinkling of diced red onion. * Season with salt and black pepper to taste. * For the final touch, decorate with some lovely edible flowers. #platter #salmon #entertaining #entertainingathome

Fresh whole fish truly shines when kept simple! 🐟✨ I Scored it on both sides, drizzled with olive oil, and seasoned with salt, pepper, and dried oregano. Into the oven it goes for about 20 minutes, and what you get is pure deliciousness 🍽️ Now the question is, do you like a splash of lemon 🍋 or a smooth tahini drizzle? Maybe even a drizzle of green herb sauce? Let me know below! 🌿 Note - Before beginning, ensure your fish is properly scaled and gutted 👌 #fish #meditteranean #homecooking

🌟Lebanese Siyadeyeh -Fish Rice Pilaf with Aunty Ibtisam. 🍚🐟 It’s her signature dish, and seriously, it’s traditional Lebanese cooking at its finest! Not many make it these days, but they should. Aunty Ibtisam’s tips? It’s all about that rich fish stock – no spices in the rice, just pure flavour. Such a clever yet surprisingly easy dish to make. A must-try! Here’s the recipe Ingredients: * 1.5 kg snapper, chunks * Salt * Vegetable oil * 4 onions, wedged * 1/4 tsp turmeric * 1 1/2 cups basmati rice (sella) * 3 1/2 cups fish stock * Cashews & pine nuts, for garnish Method: 1. Fish Prep: Salt snapper. Deep fry in oil till golden. Cool, then separate and reserve meat from bones. 2. Onions: In 3 tbsp reserved oil, fry onions till deep brown. Set aside 3/4 of them. 3. Stock: Add fish remnants to pot with the onion. Cover with water, season, and simmer 30 min. Strain. 4. Rice: Sauté the rice with 1 tablespoon of oil, add the reserved onions. Pour in fish stock, mix well and cook on low heat until done approximately 20 minutes 5. Garnish: Fry cashews and toast pine nuts. 6. Serve: Layer rice, fish, and garnish. #fish #rice #ricepilaf #homemade
