Former Deputy Minister for Information in the first term administration of President Akufo-Addo Pius Enam Hadzide, has been appointed by the President to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA). Pius Hadzide’s appointment is pursuant to Section 11(1) of the National Youth Authority Act, 2016 (Act 939). Former President John Dramani Mahama has said that even though the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is not happy with the conduct of the 2020 elections, it still maintained a level head because the peace of Ghana is more important than anyone in the country. He said there were many countries, where disputed elections led to civil wars, but for the grace of God Ghana continue to remain peaceful after elections since 1992 because the country cherished peace. Massive infrastructural development is taking place in all the six newly created regions, the Minister of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, Mr Dan Kwaku Botwe, has assured. He disclosed that in all, there were 96 projects ongoing while some had been completed and inaugurated. The projects, he said, included six regional administration blocks under construction, with one completed; 24 two-storey blocks for decentralised agencies, with three completed and one inaugurated while 66 bungalows were being constructed.
