#MOUMonday: CXC® continues to support examination candidates and build capacity through collaborative partnerships with international, higher education institutions. During a virtual ceremony on 8 September 2021, CXC® inked a Memorandum of Understanding with Midwestern State University (MSU Texas), to establish a formal basis of cooperation between the organisations in the field of education. The MOU establishes an articulation agreement through which CXC® candidates can earn partial credit requirements toward a course of study at MSU Texas, as a result of course equivalencies with the CXC® Associate Degree and/or relevant CAPE® Units. #FEATUREFRIDAYS: An articulation agreement is an officially approved agreement that matches coursework between schools/institutions. These are designed to help students make a smooth transition when transferring with a CXC® CAPE® qualification to a degree-granting institution. One such institution is the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC). #DidYouKnow that UCC was formerly known as the “University College of the Caribbean”? UCC was established in 2004 as the nation’s first University College - the University College of the Caribbean. PRESS RELEASE: This year, the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC®), like many other institutions, has had to modify its strategy for examinations due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Following consultation with regional governments and other key stakeholders from across the region, it was agreed in May 2021 to delay the sitting of the regional examinations by a further two weeks to allow more time for candidates to prepare for their exams. Exams commenced on 28 June 2021 and were completed on 30 July 2021. CXC® wishes to remind its stakeholders that results for the June/July 2021 examinations will be released in early to mid-October. CXC® is working assiduously to minimize the impact of the delays occasioned by the disruption of COVID-19 protocols on the logistical operations associated with the marking, grading and release of examinations results. The release of results will be a three-tiered approach: Firstly – Release to the Ministries of Education Secondly – Joint meeting with the Ministry of Education Thirdly – Release to candidates on or before 15 October 2021 St Vincent and the Grenadines Release to the Ministry of Education Release to candidates on or before 20 October 2021 Read the full release: www.cxc.org/2021-exams-update/
