What is Lash Wrapping? Lash wrapping is the encasement of the fan onto the natural lash for a seamless, secure bond and offers excellent retention. 🙆🏼💫 This can only be done when you blend your fan together with the natural lash! 🚫No pre-made fans, no pre-prepared fans, no finger-glued fans, no double deep fans, and no fans with dry glue bond can do it. Here's how you can achieve that excellent wrap retention 💁‍STEP 1 – Approach the natural lash with your fan, sit it gently on the top, bottom, or side of the NL at a distance of 1mm from the eyelid. Allow the fan and glue to take a hold (grab) onto the NL. STEP 2 – Once you are confident, you have to gently grab and push down onto the natural lash and slide the fan back towards the eyelid. STEP 3 – Allow step 2 to take 1-3 sec, early release of your volume fan will result in it closing and then it is almost impossible for you to re-open it. Mega Volume fans are different from Russian Volume fans. The art of Russian Volume comes from a history of strict symmetry that takes a great amount of time. One of the many benefits of Mega Volume is that this process is much faster, but done with just as much precision. MEGA VOLUME FANS DO NOT HAVE TO BE PERFECT. [However the bases do.] 😇 The reason is, .03 lashes are so incredibly fine, that even if you did take all that time to create perfectly symmetrical fans, when that client opens her eyes with so many other dense fans placed together, not even you, the artist, who created them can tell which fans are perfect and which ones are not. That density creates such a full, lush look that creating each .03 fan perfectly is simply a waste of time. ▪️If you’re not working efficiently in this business, you’re not working effectively.▪ *but don’t get it twisted- just because the spacing between each fan doesn’t call for perfection, THE BASES STILL DO. Volume" lashes come in many shapes and sizes, anywhere from 2D (two lashes to a fan) to 15D+ (15 or more ultra-lightweight 0.03 mega volume lashes). Here we see how many of each different diameter of volume lashes would fit inside just one 0.20 Classic lash, (because weight is different than diameter 😘). ⁠ ⁠ Volume lashes have to be created carefully, and should be perfectly aligned both for a uniform effect, and to be balanced well on the natural lash. We can create so many different sizes of fans, but need to be thoughtful of what diameter of lash we are using for each. For example, a 4 or 5D volume lash fan should have consistent spacing between the tips of the lashes in each fan, and each fan should be as close to the same width as possible. On top of that, each fan needs to be placed at a consistent distance from the eyelid. This creates those dreamy-looking lash lines that look so perfect you could cry. And it's HARD. 💎💎💎
