⚡️The Velvet Underground & Nico⚡️ 🌟1967 🌟 Canada 🌟OG Mono “Torso Cover” 🌟Disc: G+ This alternate, Canadian cover (the back cover for the USA) to the iconic Andy Warhol Velvet Underground banana album art, caused quite the stir. The artwork shows actor Eric Emerson projected in lights behind the head of Lou Reed. When Emerson was in need of money after being charged with drug offences, he sued Verve Records for the use of his photograph. Verve refused to pay, recalled as many copies as it could and stuck a large black sticker over the offending photo. This uncensored version of the album is commonly called the “Torso version”, and very few slipped through the cracks before they were recalled. The label went on to release albums from internationally successful artists including The Spencer Davis Group, Millie Small, Jackie Edwards and more.
