Today’s album is “Time & Place” by Lee Moses. It’s an absolute belter if you don’t know it, although it was a commercial flop at the time. Moses can really belt out the vocals with some ferocity, and his guitar playing was often likened to a funky Hendrix. There’s no better Saturday morning album than Abbey Road for me. My dad played me this album when I was about 14 and he timed that just right. I was massively into Oasis when I was younger but I was ready to start going backwards through the ages, finding out what inspired the music I already loved. Abbey Road absolutely blew my mind and it remains my favourite Beatles album to this day. It’s a masterclass in songwriting and production, the only two tunes that aren’t an 11/10 are Maxwell’s Silver Hammer and Octopuses Garden but both of them serve a purpose on there.
