Weekend warrior wonders hosted by @lassens @wishgardenherbs and www.willsherbaladventures.com . We spent Saturday morning guided by a legit #herbnerd sharing native California plants and their medicinal use in various cultures for ages. Some plants are definite no-no's like a datura (aka hell's bells) plant in the background of the invasive and warming mustard plant (little yellow flower.) Got a bit of knowledge on the native black walnut tree, mugwort's purported dream sensitizing proclivities, elderberry versus ones from Europe, and that precious local plants like white sage are protected and should not be uprooted or harvested. So much great knowledge shared with ending gifts from the hosts including a yummy sammie that brought a smile.
