Happy Monday Guys 💕💕 Getting used to a life of no medical work (for now) and baby work 24/7. What an adjustment. To think it’s just the beginning 😂😅. Besides being unwell towards the end of my pregnancy, I Thank God for a healthy and a wonderful pregnancy from the word go. This allowed me to run around and set up @premium_medicalcentre and @premium_beautyparlour (The Boutique section only) and even start Lecturing at UB @7 months gestation. And now the businesses running well in my absence cause what a great team we have and what a great culture we set up!❤️💯💯. What a Great God we serve. It’s not always easy for us women to balance between career and family/motherhood, but one can only try and be kind towards themselves along the journey ❤️ #mommylife #mommyduties #doctormommy #entrepreneurmommy #lecturermommy #CoolMommy 😂

Today marks exactly 1 week since l’ve been discharged home, from Sidilega Private hospital, after being admitted for 20 days in hospital, with half of those spent in ICU/Isolation fighting for my life when I unfortunately contracted COVID-pneumonia (most likely Delta Variant) in my 3rd Trimester of pregnancy. My baby had to be delivered via Emergency C-section a little earlier than anticipated and immediately discharged home to his Dad & Granny while Mommy remained in hospital. Probably the most heart wrenching experience I’ve ever had to go through in my life, but l thank God for his good health and now Mommy’s good health & recovery. 🙏🏼 This post is to say ; Thank you & also to encourage anyone currently going through the pains and trauma of Covid-19 to remain hopeful and trust in God. To the Physicians, Nurses & HCA’s at Sidilega hospital ; Thank you. To my family & in-laws who went into a 21 day of prayer and fasting during the time l was in hospital. Thank you, my prayer warriors 🙏🏼 To my husband, who took time off work when this happened, to make sure our baby had everything he needed in his first few weeks of life, Thank you. To my Mother(Granny), who took in my baby and became a motsetsi at 60 and cared and loved our boy like his mommy would, Thank you Mama. To my colleagues & friends who reached out, Thank you. To my fellow countrymen; Please get vaccinated as soon as the opportunity arises for your age group. To everyone who has lost a family member or loved ones to COVID, may your heart be comforted. To everyone who is currently fighting this disease or has a family member with the condition; I pray for God’s healing in your life and remember Covid recovery is as much mental as it’s physical. Try to stay positive throughout and tell yourself you are going to make it. Last but not least, To God Almighty. Thank you for your Healing & Mercy. Thank you for a second chance at life. I know it was only by your Grace that one survived. I know my work as a Physician/Doctor and as a Teacher/Lecturer can never be the same again. One can only relate with their patients and students on a deeper level than before and for that l say, Thank you.

Happy to share that l’ve been appointed a Lecturer at the University of Botswana, Faculty of Medicine-Department of Family Medicine & Public Health. This appointment comes exactly 1 year after the Honorary Lecturer appointment at the University of Melbourne. Will be working between UB & Privately Consulting at @premium_medicalcentre. I look forward to sharing as much knowledge, wisdom and skill-set with UB Medical Students and some Post-Graduate Students/ Doctors and spear-heading collaborations between University of Botswana and University of Melbourne 🇧🇼🇦🇺 #My #31st year has been full of blessings and Grace.
