My two week long vacation is almost coming to an end😅 . Traveling back to Pakistan, where I was born has been an eye opening experience 💆‍♂️ . The culture that I once grew up in when I was 5-6 years old is still rich in its hospitality and vibrant with it's food🍽 . Next stop is Islamabad, Pakistan 📍

Growing up in America as a young immigrant kid in the early 2000's I knew I was lucky. I was lucky to be given an opportunity in this country to have the possibility to grasp the highest level of success I could achieve as an immigrant💯 . ‼️TW‼️ Pt" My upper bridge is moving and it hurts when I eat"❌ . This pt presented with a 12 year old bridge where her two anchored teeth had significant bone loss do to gum disease🩸 . Pt wanted an instant smile transformation thus we extracted, did an alveoloplasty(remodel bone) and delivered a removable prosthetic the same day 🦷 . Are cavities reversible⁉️ Absolutely❗️😁 . When a tooth is exposed to acid frequently, for example, if you eat or drink often, especially foods or drinks containing sugar and starches the repeated cycles of acid attacks cause the enamel to continue to lose minerals 🦷 . A white spot may appear where minerals have been lost. This is a sign of early decay. Tooth decay can be stopped or reversed at this point✅ . Enamel can repair itself by using minerals from saliva, and fluoride from toothpaste or other sources. But if the tooth decay process continues, more minerals are lost. . Over time, the enamel is weakened and destroyed, forming a cavity. A cavity at this point is permanent and has to be restored with a filling💉 . . . . #cavaties
