About 2 weeks ago, we almost lost our father, Michael, in a most unexpected way. Today, he is awake from a coma, out of ICU, out of hospital and back home with mum. It will be a long recovery but we are so happy he’s home. The last 2 weeks have been the most stressful we’ve experienced. However, we are on the other side of this, feeling extremely grateful for so much…for our amazing family, extended family & friends who are like family. All this has made us realise, even more than we already do, how important family and our relationships are. More important than ANYTHING. We have always been a close family, but this has brought us closer. We are grateful for our mother, who is always a pillar of strength and love. We are grateful for our beautiful brothers who have been amazing through this, and whom we can belly laugh with at any time of the day. Thank you so so much to Tony and all our staff for just making everything easier for us as we got through it all. We couldn’t have functioned without you guys. We write today to remind you all of what’s important. To hold each other closer each day and tell your parents how much they mean to you. Sharon lost her surrogate Nonna Fiorella a few days ago too. And we are so grateful for the love Nonna showed Sharon the last 20 years. Her energy was always so wonderful and cheeky. We know Sharon will miss her terribly. @sharonsalloum Two of our staff members have also lost loved ones the last couple of weeks. We’d like to acknowledge their families and let them know we are here for them. Mary lost her grandmother in Korea; and Faith lost her uncle over the weekend. Thank you to all our customers who have been so supportive through this period and offered help. We love you guys so much and are grateful for this amazing community.
