It’s the first day of #cphfw and I’m kicking this season off with some big organza sleeves. Make sure to check my Stories Highlight to see what I’m up to. ⠀ Yesterday, I went to an exhibition at the Geological Museum on fashion tech and sustainability and learned about the future of the industry and sustainable textiles. Particularly @mannddk’s VR experience on the supply chain was so immersive and insightful. Today, I helped out at the @_hello_sunflower show, which was a blast. ⠀ I really love seeing the fashion crowd come together and celebrate fashion in such a eco-conscious way - from the designers, green energy transportation and a ban on single-use plastic bottles ♻️🌿
Summer is my favorite season to dress up because, well, I get to wear crop tops, flowy skirts and lots of colourful outfits (duh). What can I say? It’s my vibe. ⠀ And as much as I find winter beautiful, I can’t master the art of layering and I always end up looking like a bundled up penguin. Short people problem, am I right? 🙋♀️
I’ve been thinking a lot about work/life balance lately. In @jayshetty’s recent podcast he interviews my all time favourite marketing guru, @garyvee, who admitted that he wish he’d created more memories with his friends and important people in his life, instead of spending his 20s and 30s hustling away. ⠀ I found that super interesting because more often than not we hear about successful entrepreneurs building their businesses from morning to night, but we also have to remember to take time away and enjoy life with the people we love. ⠀ What’s your view on work/life balance? Any philosophies you live by?
Let’s talk #journaling! I’ve so many thoughts, ideas and emotions flowing through my head (I’m a typical Cancer ♋︎). Writing has always been SO helpful for me to clear my mind and making lists is one of my favourite things. You can start journaling about anything and everything, but over the past two years I’ve tried some journaling prompts that’ve been life-changing. Here are some ideas to get you started: ⠀ 📝 Current me vs. future me: I got this one from @lavendaire and it’s so helpful for reflecting over your current situation and figuring out how you’d like to evolve in the future. Simply, brainstorm your current self (feelings, wishes, doubts) on one side and your future self on the other and use this as a roadmap. ⠀ 📝 “How I’m feeling…”: Writing out your thoughts and emotions whenever you’re feeling happy or overwhelmed. I do these pages all the time especially during the night time before I go to bed. They also work great as morning pages. ⠀ 📝 “What I’m grateful for…”: We can often loose sight of all the incredible people and things in our life. Training your brain to list out everything you’re grateful for will help appreciate the things that we often take for granted, like family, food, water and housing. ⠀ ⠀ As for stationary, I’d recommend finding a spiral notebook with blank pages, so you can doodle and draw. @jeeba got me this pretty one two years ago and it’s been my go-to journal ever since 🥰 My favourite pens are the erasable gel pens from @ukmuji. Share your thoughts on journaling below!
Me: “You know, I may have gone a bit overboard with all the florals in my wardrobe and home.” Also me: *discreetly camouflaging into my bed linen* 🌺 #HomeWithJuliana
Thank you for all the birthday wishes! 🥰 I had such a fantastic day yesterday. Catch up on my Stories Highlight if you want to see the charcuterie-style dinner I put together. I’m wearing this cute sustainable dress by @grittandborris that’s made of flax linen and coloured using plant dyes 🍊🍇 I’ve so much respect for sustainable brands like these that are committed to changing the way we produce and consume fashion @polhemprdk
My niece has officially turned one! Oh, how time flies… And notice how she obviously got the floral memo 😍🌷
I’ve been spending a good amount of time off social media lately. I’ve been working my butt off in the real life, most of the time in front of my laptop, no makeup and hair in a top-knot. I didn’t exactly feel like sharing that online and you know what, I think that’s absolutely fine. So here I am now soaking up the sun (covered in SPF50) in 100% relaxation mode ☀️
BRB, it’s self care time 🧖♀️ I’ve recently been using @commedeux’s new Power Nap face mask whenever my skin needs extra care and hydration. I like to leave it on overnight and when I wake up my skin is feeling glowy, plump and ready for the day ahead.
When I did a poll on Stories on whether I should repaint my bedroom dresser dark grey, white or keep it in this off-white shade it was a close tie. I must admit, the off-white is really starting to grow on me 🤔 Let me know your thoughts below! #HomeWithJuliana
I’m having an at-home spa evening 🧖♀️ I’m trying @commedeux‘s three serum boosters that each have a different purpose - the pink one hydrates, the blue one refines the pores and mattifies, and the yellow one brings out that glow ✨ ⠀ Most importantly, the whole skincare line is perfume-free and vegan. I’m all about natural products without any harmful chemicals 🌱
In case you missed it, head over to my blog to read about how I use @philipshue to elevate my space. ⠀ I recently got my hands on an @amazon Echo Dot Generation 3, which can be connected to the lights in my apartment. ⠀ Now I’m constantly yelling commands like, “Alexa, dinner time” for dimmed yellow lights and “Alexa, goodnight” to instantly turn off all the lights when I go to bed. It’s so convenient! 💡 #HomeWithJuliana
