Welcome to one of the places that always take my breath away. No matter how many times I visited this place, it left me speechless. I usually have a lengthy picnic at the top of the ridge and spend there a good couple of hours if the weather allows. The Angel's Glacier hanging above the lagoon is loudly cracking and the noise echoes into the valley. The sun appears late and disappears early as the massive rockwall blocks it for most of the day. Marmots love it here and claiming plenty of big rocks as their own :) In summer, I often continue hiking up to the meadows, where the alpine flowers bloom in all colours possible and have another picnic at the very top. Such a special place, which, although I would love to keep it to myself, I wish everyone could one day experience the magic of Cavell Meadows 😊✨ . . . . . #travelalberta #jasper #explorecanada #imagesofcanada #canada #splendid_earth #eclectic_shotz #reflectiongram #globeshotz #moodygrams #allbeauty_addiction #yourshotphotographer #amazing_longexpo #glacier #mthrworld #depthsofearth #beyondthelands_ #special_shots #bestnatureshot #igworld_global #wildernesstones #earthoutdoors #earth_shotz

Life's better with a furry friend 🐶... I hope none of you feel too lonely through these times and have someone to talk to, to cuddle with, to joke about the challenging times. And if you don't, have you maybe considered adopting/fostering a dog or cat (or pig, parrot,...) from an animal shelter? Some of the shelters are now in troubles to cover the running costs more than ever. If you are not sure if you're capable of taking care of the animal, you can try fostering instead of adopting. That way, you can give animals all the love and care they need and prepare them for the future permanent family who'll love them forever. You'll finally get a chance to see what it takes to have a pet friend. And pretty much granted - you'll receive plenty of ♥ back (last year I was house/pet sitting six different dogs for months and it was just a wonderful experience). If that's something, you'd be interested to do, just check the situation with your local shelters (and with your landlords to make sure you are allowed to have a pet). 🐕🐈🐖🐇🐀🐦

🌿 I hope you all are doing/feeling well these days 🌿 I've been taking a long break from social media while working on lovely photo projects and building another sprinter van (which I am happy to share with you once it's done). I also relocated to Costa Rica back in February to take a break from work before another busy summer season. About a week ago I've decided to go back to Canada two months earlier while it was still possible. Now I am sitting in a little apartment in the prairies of Manitoba in a self quarantine. And just taking it easy and catching up on a Zelda game (have you played Breath of Wild? it's just soooo stunning). I am finally going through some photos I've taken last year in the mountains and never got to do any edits on them. As you might know, all the Canadian National Parks are now closed to all visitors and many of us certainly hope it won't be lasting for too long. Luckily, the Canadian Rockies will stay for millions more years, so I believe we'll still have lots of opportunities to visit, yay! Just be patient, be kind to yourself and to the others and, meanwhile, give Zelda a go :) Here's one from a crisp September morning at the gorgeous Mistaya River✨

Valley of the Ten Peaks under the moonlight spell. I have always felt that fall (or shall we call it winterfall?) in these mountains is the most inspiring time of the year. To me. There is something special hanging, or maybe floating, in the air. Everything and everyone slows down. Nature is quieter and so are our minds. It's so so very beautiful experiencing the circle of life and to let go by going with the flow ♡

Mighty Mount Temple bathing in sunrise colours ☀ Summer's gone, autumn colours are in full, and this week we expect first snowfall of the season, yay. Love the everchanging nature of these mountains.

And what's your favorite animal?... Always, when I see mountain goats, I must giggle. Such adorable face expressions they show you at all times 🐐

A throwback to this amazing weekend with @fordcanada. It was fun testing their new 2019 Ford Ranger and pushing its limits on rough and flooded backcountry roads near Whistler. Love the smaller size of this truck, fuel efficiency and blind spot detection technology! #FordRanger (I rarely use Photoshop and play with layers, but the sky in this shot was quite plain, so it was a great opportunity to try a composite. Apparently, I didn't aim for natural look but rather a painting-like visual, which was quite fun :). Shot with Canon 6D + 16-35mm 2.8 III)

Paddling through the Valley of the Gods was something else. Once we got past the Spirit Island, the quiet was deafening. No traffic hum, no cell signal. Just you paddling in 'Zen-like' rhythm, hearing only roiling waterfalls and swoosh of paddles.

Last weekend (woohoo, time surely flies) we got to spend some special time in Whistler with @fordcanada offroading in their new Ford Ranger. We made sure to push its limits that weekend and the truck kept blowing our minds. Especially its new traction and safety control systems that make driving both in the mountains and in the city a breeze. All I could think about was of how many nearly unreachable hot springs in the backcountry I could now reach with this beauty. It was so great to meet such beautiful and like-minded people who embrace nature and outdoors as much as I do, and I am already so looking forward to meeting some of them very soon on a different adventure. Thank you guys, you all were awesome and I wish we’d have more time to get to know each other. Thanks to the Ford team for making this weekend possible. And don’t let this peaceful picture fool you. My dearest Lizzy Fizzy @elizabethgadd literally lost lots of blood when posing for the photo. I mean a lots. If you’d zoomed in, you’d see hundreds of little black dots - thirsty mosquito females. While Lizzy was trying to send them away with such a grace, I was laying in the dust surrounded by the black clouds of thirsty little monsters. Biggest thanks to you Joel @joelschat for saving my butt (also literally 🍑 ) by dancing around me with the bug spray. You're the best! :) I could have never done this shot without you two heroes 💪 I hope we all can jump into #FordRanger soon again and disappear somewhere in the woods together, leaving the mosquitoes behind 😁 #ad #FordCanada
