Oh sweet Marilyn Monroe. Thank you for blessing me with such beautiful light and more importantly, beautiful souls.
Dropping in on this Saturday to say have a great day 🖤
Just another example of 'Hey, so we're getting married in our parents backyard' and I'm over here like, dude, this place has gotta charge at least 320 a plate! All jokes aside though, these two, like many others, have been put through the f*ckin ringer this year. Planning, replanning, adapting and then replanning two hours before their ceremony when they found out they had to cut their guest list in half. It all came together. It was a beautiful day. And I guess at the end of it, that's all that matters.
Colour.. check. Light.. check. Happy hanging out together... Check. Keeping the checkbox list simple because Pura Vida.
I title this shot 'my man beef and my caboose.' Hey, that's us! Let me share a bit about this guy right here. Brandon decided to up and quit his safe job and join me full-time. And then 2020 happened and our year was put on hold. So what did he do with his time? He used to better himself in every way. He bought darkroom chemicals and learned how to process his own film. He has shot rolls and rolls of film documenting the hardest and yet most fun year we've had. He learned to sew, making custom camera packs and tailoring our clothes. He bought a motorcycle and got his license without ever riding one before. He's building a skate ramp right now and more importantly building strong relationships with people that inspires us. Let's all be more like Brandon and live a life full and full of hobbies. I love you darling. Thank you for curating this life and making it simply one of a kind with me.
Sending nothing but love and positive vibes into the universe today. And what better way to illustrate with a wedding gown that has pockets. My world is complete.
Adios summer evenings and basking in that warmth. Grateful that I got to share nights like this with people such as these.
We were recently asked if we supported the LGBTQ community. Um, hell yeah we do! I try to keep my feed as up to date as possible with all the new couples we are lucky enough to capture. We've had the pleasure of capturing all kinds of love, and I do a lot of work on my website, sharing their stories and our values. So please do take time to head over to our website, Instagram is a bit of a snapshot of what we're currently doing but our website is definitely the heart of what we're about. Also, we are updating our wedding packages and some other good stuff on there. You know, the times they are a changing. Happy weekend.
When you have the most gorgeous blanket of hair to keep you warm. Who knew September would be so damn cold? On that note, I live for these carefree, happy moments chasing after the sunlight in a whirlwind of a wedding day.
What up 2020, thank you for all the incredible people you've sent our way to photograph their elopements. Shout out to Winnie & Raj, for planning a last minute shindig at The Guild Inn with their closest (& pup Ichi too!) We spent one hour capturing these two's memories and what I can take away from it is this.. Personal vows have gotten longer and they are here to stay. I have noticed a shift in this compared to last year. Perhaps after a shit of a year, we're all just feeling a whole lot more sentimental? I have no clue, but I love it. (My own personal vows to Brandon included his perfect bum, so as you were, haha!) Secondly, more photos with family. Generally, I'd like, "ew, no. stop. too much" but actually, when you're shooting a wedding with up to 20 people, you sort of want to capture a shot with each and every person. I guess I relate to it back to our own wedding with just our parents. These photos are important. You CHOSE these people for a reason. And that is something special. (Side note, since there aren't a hundred other people at your wedding, shooting family photos has become far more fun & less of a chore!) Lastly, it's hump day. Go get your hump on and remember.. call us if you're eloping. Haha <3
Last words to Brandon & I from this incredible duo... "We don't care if the shots are blurry, we just want to be apart of our day, we want it to be REAL." Opt to be present as f*ck and that's it. Life is far too short to aim for perfection, besides blurring the lines encourages a little bit of intrigue right? Kaitlin & Mike, thank you for sharing your day with us, but more importantly, surrounding yourselves with such a strong crew. The speeches alone we're enough to bring me to tears (Brandon too, but he's about as emotional as a teaspoon and said, "those we're good speeches, eh?" which means he teared up inside too haha!)
I just want to squeeze in between these two beauties & stay there forever.
