Now I'm a travel writer, blogger, content creator, and language teacher, and I love sharing my experiences and tips for solo female travel in Asia. Follow me if you're interested in learning more about how you can explore Asia to the fullest! Getting certified in teaching English as a foreign language has opened up so many doors for me, including a life abroad 🌏😆 Not only do I get to help others learn a new language, but I also get to immerse myself in different cultures and explore the world. 🌟 Shrines vs. Temples in Korea 🇰🇷 Shrines (myo) are smaller, simple sites for ancestral spirits and deities. They're linked to shamanism and indigenous practices. They often have red gates and a pathway leading up to an ancestral hall. Temples (sa) are larger, elaborate structures for Buddhist practices. They have multiple halls, pagodas, and courtyards. While they share some beliefs, shrines and temples differ in architecture, purpose, and traditions. 🙏 🌟 Follow @lindagoeseast for travel tips and guides!⁣ .⁣

Standing in tea fields 🍃 I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; Hadong is one of my favorite little places in Korea ❤️ The region in Gyeongnam is the birthplace of Korean tea. It is said that around 1,200 years ago, a Buddhist monk brought the very first green tea plants to South Korea from China and planted them at Ssanggyesa Temple in Hadong. Hadong was chosen as a tea growing area because of its favorable climate at the foot of Jirisan Mountain - it has the perfect conditions for producing high-quality tea! If you like tea and are looking for a peaceful place to visit in Korea, head to Hadong! 📍Jeonggeum Tea Field #정금차밭 Follow @lindagoeseast for travel tips and guides!⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ #visitkorea #travelkorea #southkorea #하동 #하동여행 #경남여행
