Surprisedbyfive's Instagram Audience Analytics and Demographics

I started blogging in 2015 after a blog post went viral, my Surprised by Five Facebook page grew to an astonishing 340,000 followers. I went on to start Instagram two year later and now have just under 60,000 followers across the platform. I have been thankful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with some fantastic brands in Australia and abroad collectively! I have done various types of work across the entertainment industry, from content creation, advertising, print media, photography and TV. I take pride in every project I help create, and I take all creative direction from the people behind the brand, I'm happy when you're happy! I love working with big and small businesses and making new friends and contacts in the industry. I have been blog writing for four years, and that's when I fell in love with putting pen to paper! I have had my writing published and shared all around the world if it wasn't for so many people reading my blogs; I would never have realised my purpose in life was to write and hopefully inspire others. I have also had the privilege of writing for The West Australian Newspaper and Kidspot. I also had the honour of being Interviewed for Marie Claire's Strong Women editorial issue of January 2019. My first book comes out internationally in February 2020; it will hit all major retailers in Australia.

Every mini footy team needs something tasty to tame their hunger after a game of footy. Head to @brumbysbakery and spend $15 to get your very own footy to take home with you! I’m sure your kids will enjoy playing a game of mini footy with the ball as much as mine did. #BrumbysBakery

A weekend can look pretty chaotic when I don’t have enough energy to get out and about with my kids. One of our favourite things to do as a family is to hit the cinema and watch a movie! I feel I need the power and endurance of an athlete to get all eight kids into the cinema and sat down quietly with enough popcorn and treats to go around. I decided to try Nutra-Life Magnesium Sleep and I’m pleasantly surprised. I'm waking up feeling more refreshed and ready to take on the weekend without being a cranky mum! It’s been formulated with three sources of Magnesium to support muscle function & the herbs Ziziphus & Passionflower to help promote sleep.

Indiana’s #futureprofessional dream is to be a cake decorator but perfecting her skills is a messy job! Of course, I am left with the task of getting the tough stains out, but it’s a breeze with Dynamo Professional Free & Clear. #dynamo #dynamoprofessional #futureprofessional #workingwithdynamo

I have been using the No Vac carpet sanitiser and deodoriser for the last couple of years and I love it. It lifts and destroys bacteria odours, it smells so amazing! I can smell it from the moment I walk into my home and most importantly it’s safe to use around children and pets. The Instant Spot and Stain Remover are also great for getting bits of food residue that have been left on the carpet. #toddlerlife I would always get a wet cloth with disinfectant but this product that’s scrubbing out of the job! #ad #novac #cleancarpets

Who has been knocked down this last winter and used as many tissues as these little people have done in this picture? I would like to blow some information straight over to you all, forgive the pun! This year's flu season was considerably worse than in previous years, we have seen 486 confirmed flu-related deaths in 2019. There are so many MYTHS that are floating around that are absolutely untrue! Check out some of these doozies. There is no treatment for the flu You can’t spread the flu if you’re feeling well The flu is just a bad cold Healthy people can’t/don’t catch the flu Don’t consult a mother’s group on Facebook when diagnosing your symptoms, I know Karen has a wealth of knowledge from Dr Google; but let’s leave this job up to a doctor who can put your mind at rest and treat you if required. What are the symptoms to look out for you ask? Fever, muscle and joint pain and exhaustion. DONT wait to see your local GP if you think you might have the flu! Head in to see your Dr within 48 hours of the onset of symptoms. Early diagnosis and treatment with an antiviral could mean a shorter recovery because let’s face it, who wants to be sick or see their loved ones unwell? #Flubusting #Rocheflupartner #SeeYourGP

I’m the mum that always takes her kids to the doctor, I have been told I overreact at every symptom my children have when sick but, I would rather be safe than sorry. Have you ever put off seeing the doctor because you were worried you wouldn’t be taken seriously? Or maybe you thought your symptoms weren’t bad enough to warrant a doctor’s visit? I’m going to grab the mic so everyone in the back can hear this flu busting message. The flu and common cold are two totally different illnesses, I only learnt this a couple of years ago. I now know how deadly the flu virus can be! With 486 confirmed flu deaths in 2019, it’s time to start educating the ones we love. What symptoms to look out for! If you or any of your loved ones is experiencing a fever, muscle and joint pain and exhaustion, make an appointment to see your GP. There are options other than bedrest called antivirals which can help speed up recovery times but you need to see a GP within the crucial 48 hour time period. I know all about man flu but let’s give the men in our life the benefit of doubt and let the doctor make the diagnosis. Then we can decide if we should take it easy on them or not. 🤣 I have personally known three children in 2019 that have tested positively for the flu. While over the counter cold and flu tablets and natural therapies can help alleviate symptoms they won’t help your body fight the virus like other treatments from a GP. Let’s look after the people around us by knowing the symptoms and see a GP within 48 hours. #Flubusting #Rocheflupartner #SeeYourGP

I have something I need to vent about!!!! I had to make the heartbreaking choice to have a hysterectomy, the endometriosis and adhesions had become so bad that I was in so much pain each day, I couldn’t cope with constantly taking pain killers. The pain medication that actually helped with the pain made me sleepy and it was just a vicious cycle and I felt like a mumbie. (Zombie mum 💀) While I knew that I should have felt thankful for being blessed with eight children, I still didn’t want that choice taken away from me for the future? My uterus had given me eight beautiful children and it felt like I was getting rid of a huge part of who I was. Regardless I had the hysterectomy but now I need to live with how I feel now. I have a few side effects that I think might have come from the hysterectomy that the doctors aren’t sure how to treat. My hair is brittle and doesn’t grow very well, I miss my shiny hair. 😭 I’m super hormonal, I have one ovary left as the other one twisted shortly after surgery. I’m constantly feeling like I’m going to lose the plot. 😱 I would literally kill to have a period right now so my hormones would settle down. Yet my blood tests a few months ago give me clean bill of health. I can’t lose weight, this is so frustrating! I did eat ten blocks of chocolate the week of my hysterectomy. This was partly because a nurse who came to do the post-surgery ultrasound of my bladder said she would need to put the settings on male now I didn't have a uterus. 🙄 I don’t eat that many calories per day and even cutting down on sugary drinks and sweets hasn’t caused any weight loss. I do lose cm’s and gain muscle but that’s about it? A recent blood test showed I had high creatine kinase levels but that seems to be sorting itself out now. Who thought having quintuplets would cause my body to break in all-new ways!!

See this proud look on Tiffany’s face? She has gone 48 hours without ANY accidents day and night! It has taken blood, sweat and tears to get to this point, mostly on my behalf 😂 I am so proud!! I took her to get some new shoes in celebration. When walking back to the car she said “ I don’t need to wear a nappy anymore mama! “ Three down two to go!! 👊🏻

Tiffany wanted to play dress ups. My new @oscarwylee sunglasses just made this look complete. 😂🙌🏻 Could Tiffany be the next Anna Wintour? 😆

This was my face when I woke up today! I had a dream last night that I was pregnant with a SECOND set of quintuplets.... My belly felt so round and full just like it did when I was pregnant with Keith, Tiffany, Beatrix, Penny and Allison. I don’t think I’m ever going to sleep again! 😂 I love being pregnant but, I'm happy with eight. 🤣

At the start of April after three years of friendship, I found an imposter in my circle of friends. I thought this “friend” was one of my closest allies, my kids adored her and I thought our friendship was solid. Then, I found out she was calling me a bad mum behind my back and that my kids deserved better. All this was being said when to my face she would tell me how much of a good mother I was and that despite this near-impossible task of giving enough love and time to all my children that I was doing a really good job. This woman should be given a gold medal for being able to lie to my face so sincerely. Want to hear the punch line? She has no kids... 😂 isn’t it funny how the most judgemental people are the ones that haven’t walked in our shoes? Unfortunately being a self-proclaimed children’s expert doesn’t give you the right to judge anyone if you haven’t walked in their shoes. I should have seen the warning signs, everyone else told me not to trust her! She would talk about other peoples parenting behind their back so why didn’t I think she would do that same about me? The point of this post is don’t let anyone dull your sparkle! The world is full of opinions and the only one that should matter when it comes to raising your children is your own. I know I’m not a bad mum, I know I’m not a perfect mum either. I lose my temper at times, I sometimes feed my kids cereal for dinner but you know what? My kids are happy, healthy and LOVED! Don’t be afraid to cut ties with toxic people, most of these people are sad, lonely and unfulfilled. They don’t deserve you, your time or your love. PLOT TWIST 💫I even showed a picture of this person to a psychic and she said that she could never be trusted and had feelings for Vaughn. LOL this psychic has been correct so far so who knows?? 💫
