REJECTED People often think I don’t get rejected. Well the truth is I do. It’s because I either show too much, or I don’t show enough. I’m either too honest, or not honest enough. I’m either too happy or not happy enough. I’m either too young or not young enough. And these are just a few of the reasons I get rejected. Part 2. I am tired of feeling like I don’t have a voice. I’m finally free. This burden has been heavy on my heart for so long. I’m happy and have found so much peace that I can finally share my story. I am strong. This is my story and I’m proud of myself that I’m able to share it . Yes I WAS married Yes I WAS depressed Yes I WAS blaming myself Yes I WAS lied to for years Yes I WAS responsible for playing a part Yes I WAS cheated on while he was deployed Yes I WAS sexually assaulted by my ex - husband Yes I WAS lost mentally, physically & spiritually. Yes I WAS seeing a counselor for PTSD, from him & what he would say and do. Yes I WAS willing to give my daughter up for adoption for my own reasons that I thought was right. But... NOW I’m soon to be officially divorced. NOW I am still seeing a counselor for PTSD. NOW I’ve found myself & I’m still growing. NOW I’ve experienced new things. NOW I know my worth. NOW I am at peace. NOW I am a sexual assault survivor NOW I am more understanding. NOW I know what I want and need. NOW I know what I deserve. NOW I am confident. NOW I am holding myself accountable. NOW I am not afraid to tell my story. So yes my life WAS hell but I had to get through the rain 🌧 to get to the rainbow. 🌈 I’m happy that everything happened the way it did, because now I understand, now I realize and I was able to experience a different kind of perspective that I wouldn’t have been able to see if I did not go through these traumatic events. I did not see what I know now. But now I know what I saw then. 👀 This is my story. This was only a chapter. I’ve still got many more pages to go. 📚 I’m ready to experience new things. I’m ready to grow and learn more. I’m ready to take a risk, take a chance. I’m ready to start over. Writing this all down, aloud me to release all those emotions and thoughts. So this is my official closure of that chapter in my life. Some days it just hits me harder than others. Some days I just get into my own head, my own thoughts, and my own feelings. And yes it sucks, but for some reason I feel that it’s probably the only way that I’ve been able to stay sane for so long. And then there are the”Other days” that I’m fine and everything is great. I cherish those days, but still think about the “Not so great” days. You would think that the days that are great would count more than the days that are “Not so great.” But for me it’s the other way around. And this is something that I work on every day with myself to better myself not only for myself, but for my child, my family and friends. It takes a lot of strength, it takes a lot of emotion because a lot of the time when I do go through my “Not so great days” I try to forget about it, or they simply just try to hurry up and create happy memories to compensate for it. It’s so easy to get in my own head, when I have so much going on, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. There are days where I know who’s there for me, and who I am, and then there are days where I don’t know anything at all. And it scares the heck out of me . But in all reality I have to go through every feeling that I’m feeling on my “Not so great days”, I have to feel that pain, I have to feel that isolation, I have to feel that need and that want.
