Question: is using a cleansing brush harsh on the skin? Answer: YES AND NO..... it depends . Cleansing brushes are great when you want to slightly exfoliate and remove dirt from hard to reach areas of your face, plus they generally do a good job cleansing the skin with the help of a foaming cleanser or whichever cleanser you are using. . WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR 1) since this is a physical exertion of force on your skin, the bristles therefore need to be super super soft! This is One of the many reasons why i love the #vanityplanet one because the bristles are so soft it’s comforting 😊. The harder the bristles the more likely they are to cause havoc and you don’t want that 2) pay attention to the various brushes in the set. The softest can be used on a day to day basis, the exfoliating one should be used once a week or every two weeks while the silicon one is perfect if you have sensitive skin 3) ensure you disinfect and air dry your brushes after use. Brushes after use devoid of air/sun can easily hoard and grow bacteria. Using that same brush on your skin and introducing bacteria to your skin can lead to various skin infections. 4) replace your brush heads on a yearly basis . All in All ensure your brushes are always clean, well dried, disinfected and stored in their case. .
