Call to action as best we can from afar and from the phone. Check the hashtag. Clink the link in my profile and sign the petition to let the Ecuadorian govt know that the world is watching.. Aiming for 500,000 signatures to take to the Capital, the tribe is calling in support to protect 500,000 acres of pristine rainforest at the headwaters of the Amazon from resource extraction and oil exploitation. Here we go again, and we say enough is enough. #waoraniresistance #onevoice #keeptheoilintheground

I made a new food pyramid. It’s open ended. There are what some essentials that got left out of every food pyramid I’ve ever seen (plant teachers, herbs, ferments). The rest is up to you based on how what you eat makes you feel. Feedback on refinement is welcome as I consider this a first draft.

Someone once told me that I wouldn’t get lost in the darkness. In so many ways I’ve dove in again and again, always to re-emerge, eventually. Becoming well adjusted to the dark opens up an ability to notice even the slightest hint of light. The Raven and the Eagle share the same sky.

La Forca do Rapé. The force of the Rapé (pronounced hapé). Rapé is an insufflate, being applied by the breath (not snorted) into the nasal cavity. After a number of years now of working with this powerful earth medicine, to be able to receive a soplada (breath) from some master healers was a gift that this heart is deeply grateful for. . It is starkly obvious that western culture often looks on with wide eyed skepticism upon seeing humans uptake the mixture of tobacco, tree ash, and often various admixtures of other healing plants (depending the maker and tribe) as a spiritual and physical hygienic practice. . There are many dimensions to working with plants in such intimate ways. As one maestro put it, asking for permission of the plants, using with clear intent, and listening to what may come is a good approach for right relationship. With Rapé there is no “high” and it is not addictive. What it does often do is shift stuck energy in the body (things like the tension after a day at work or in traffic, or perhaps lingering emotions) and it is also a subtle yet potent teacher, expanding our consciousness and bringing us into our present embodied experience. All of this may or may not lead to an intense physical experience/feelings of nausea/deep grounding/clarity of mind/inner peace. In my personal journey it has run the gamut of human experience both physical and emotional.... beautiful medicine indeed ✨ . Muchísimo gracias Tobacco, Tsunu, Cumaru and the other healing plants. Thank you to the teachers and carriers of these medicine ways. It is with an intent to educate and steward the proliferation of these medicines in a good way that I share. Most people when they first receive Rapé emphatically state that they will never do it again. Sure enough, as the weight of the human experience continues to influence and now with more awareness as to what and how, they often return for the gentle and forceful breath of pure light straight into the mind. . Moments that you know you will remember for lifetimes. Beyond all stories of what humans should be, there exists pockets of humans who just are. The Yawanawa people planted a seed of light into our hearts that is only just beginning to sprout. @satori_ki @drewyoungspring @pomonamellen 📷 @arikunawhitewolf

Immense is one word that might encompass them all. Infinite gratitude for the past few weeks of unlearning and learning. So much has changed that is close to my heart and my heart is grander to hold it all with grace. I love those close to me dearly and will forever in this now moment. Beauty surrounds us in each particle of existence and we only need to reach out, beyond fear, to touch the essence of this, which brings healing beyond comprehension and wholeness beyond thought. There is medicine for this world and its wisdom is held within the caretakers of the Amazonian pharmacopia.

Kissing the sky in the high Andes before dropping down into the depths of the jungle. Pure light is sure to abound throughout. Our mighty cadre of magicians will be immersing ourselves in the cultures of the Yawanawa and the Huni Kuin: two tribes of the Brazilian Amazon whom have retained a strong heritage amidst western contact. They are stewards and protectors of not only their ancestry and land, they hold a purity in medicine ways. We go to sing. We go to pray. We go to cleanse our bodies, minds, and spirits. The healing of ourselves is for the healing of all. It’s a deeply humbling walk along a long road and all the while we show up in these ways to remember that amongst all the drama in this life, everything is a gift that we have already received.

Best morning in awhile!! The kids grasp rather quickly when I share that a dragon lives in the gong, fairies in the chimes, earth spirits in the bowls, and star beings in the hand drum. I’ve been invited back when the full class is in session and adults are invited ;) @sounds_of_light

Finding lost letters hidden in books that you haven’t touched in years is a mysterious gift that one could never plan for, although that is what I might start doing with the rare letter that comes my way. On that note, if any dear friends would like a letter, DM me an address and I’ll send you some love the old fashioned way! And perhaps you can stuff it in a book for safe keeping 🤗
