What quiets your mind?

Honestly, I’ve felt an inextricable need to escape — somewhere and anywhere beyound the proverbial wanderlust. Escape to somewhere, anywhere more beautiful, more calm— anywhere beyond the noisy echo chamber of this mind and this moment. High hopes that these desires could seamlessly coalesce to create this alternative reality I wish to see beyound this present moment is...unlikely. These recent months continue to challenge my ability to just be here — in this moment. I can’t imagine how it wouldn’t be a challenge for many people. And although the escapism offers some momentary refuge; I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to honor and hold space for ourselves in this time... What does it look like to stand in this moment through all of it’s discomfort without seeking refuge in an escape? How are we holding space for ourselves and our boundaries? How are practicing engaging with the world from the place of our inherent worthiness? Honestly, this isn’t anything more than a personal stream of consciousness... But, I do hope to honor these present moments more, see the beauty in the chaos and just try and be more here. x
